On our last night in Paris, we ate at this local restaurant that is adorable inside and out. The service was lovely - both servers were very kind and helpful in interpreting some the handwritten menu. We started with the escargots, served in small pastry puffs that resemble a shell. For our main courses we had steak, perfectly cooked medium... More

We live around the corner and hadn't been back to this place in several years. We wandered in at the last minute as our usual hangouts were full. The first thing to say is that the crowd here is virtually exclusively made up of out of towners and tourists. I can understand why -- it's expensive, and the food is... More

Me and my boyfriend had an amazing evening here last winter - very warm with cosy decor and a fabulous menu. If you're a wine lover then this is a great place to visit as they have a really great selection with knowledgeable waiters to help you choose. Also get the bread and butter pudding - hands down the best... More

Le Colimacon is a small intimate restaurant in the Marais region of Paris. My wife and I both said that this was the best meal we had in Paris. I decided on the partridge wrapped in bacon, and my wife had duck, and we shared a cheese board of fantastic cheeses to finish. The food was superbly presented and tasted... More

Very comfortable ambience, with an interesting and varied selection of starters and mains. I had the Cassoulet Champignon, which was a rich, creamy mushroom loaded with mushrooms , and the Tataki Sesame Crusted Tuna, which came with a wonderful rice accompaniment and some basic mixed veggies. Both were delicious, and with 1 glass of wine, came to 45 Euros. 2... More

We were hungrily wandering around the Marais last night when we saw a group of people dining in a cozy room. No sign out front that I could see but it was obviously a small restaurant. I decided to see if we could get a table, although the place was packed. I entered and asked the proprietor if we five... More

Went there with my girlfriend our first time in Paris. Booking a table via The Fork was very easy, the staff was nice and quick. They speak every language ;) Dinner was nice, nothing cheap or touristic felt almost at home. Very wide choice between starters, entrees and dessert, and a huge wine list. We had 2 entrees, 2 glasses... More

Situated in the hip/chic/bo-bo (or possibly 'beau-beau') heart of Paris' Marais, is this charming restaurant with an equally enchanting hostess. It's just right for a Sunday night's dinner for two. Each dish is a culinary delight on the senses. My wife and I wished we could personally commend the ever so busy chef for the tremendous spread. I recommend this... More

Came back here to dine twice. I don't know why Trip Advisor have listed this as a gastro pub as it certainly is not, it's just a small restaurant. Good food and great wine menu at a reasonable price, quite large portions so we shared an entree Staff speak great English and are happy to explain the menu in more... More

Staying in Le Marais

Neighbourhood Profile
Le Marais
The Marais is a winding maze of multi-faceted streets that beg to be explored. It bursts with small boutiques, historic buildings, cozy traditional restaurants, and hidden parks. Around each corner, you'll come across little gems of architecture spanning the centuries, from understated medieval towers to classical libraries and 17th century splendour. This neighbourhood unites a rich mix of people of all ages, but it's best known for the gay scene mostly in the south and the Jewish community around Rue des Rosiers.
