Sorza is a cute little Parisian spot. We had good wine and delicious apps (the soufflé is fantastic) Dinner was disappointing- I had the saltimbocca on recommendation from the waitress and it was bland and hard to eat.

After initially finding Sorza and enjoying the best gnocchi of my life, I returned twice more over the next several nights and was not disappointed one iota! Service is genuinely friendly and the food is, well, it's one of the things I think of when I daydream of my next visit to Paris. Go!

Sorza is a typically small Parisian restaurant--perhaps 10 tables in a brightly colored space. My wife and I enjoyed some truly wonderful, tender scallops, risotto, and cheese soufflé. All the dishes were great, and the price was reasonable.

We were visiting from Switzerland, so we know an expensive meal, and compared to other places in Paris, this place was pricey and tiny. The menu is limited, which is usually a plus for this type of places. We had the onion soup, which lacked seasoning and flavor, the onions were not caramelized, the soup lack any body. The soufflé... Made the kids walk a mile to get to here but was really disappointed. The food was super bland. Risotto was more like wet rice. Soufflé was egg with cheese. Quite expensive. The tiramisu was just cream. On the positive side the scallops was good and dorade was excellent but overall very disappointing. Has so much more potential.

Unlike many restaurants on Île-de-St. Louis that stop serving lunch at 3pm, Sorza was a "find." Sorza serves all day. At 3 PM (15 h), we ordered two outstanding pasta dishes. Le plat du jour was a creamy penne gagonzola. The penne aubergine ricotta had small cubes of egg plant under several strips of fresh, thinly sliced parmesan. The vin... More

The food was great and the atmosphere was really nice and quiet. The lady that served us was very polite and helped us with the menu. I will definitely come again next time I'll be in Paris

Stopped in for a late lunch of excellent, beautifully prepared Italian food. The restaurant is small as a button, with an elegant interior, an island of calm off the main street of the Île. Warm service, fond memories.

Description
Sorza is in the heart of Ile Saint Louis in Paris not far from Notre Dame. This Mediterranean restaurant is of extremely chic and of exquisite taste. Unlike many French restaurants, this restaurant never stops serving; lunch can stretch throughout the afternoon until it is time for that pre dinner drink. At the weekends brunch is also available. The restaurant plays music throughout the day changing the genre as the day moves on, jazz in the morning and afternoon and lounge music in the evening. The dcor is contemporary and eye catching with black lacquered tables, red walls, candles in little crystal glasses and subtle lighting.

Staying in Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis

Neighbourhood Profile
Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité, sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island, welcomes you with cozy traditional eateries, small boutiques, and what some people say is the best ice cream in the city. This is essential Paris from its very beginnings to its modern appeal.
