Had a party of 5 and really enjoyed this small restaurant. I think the waiter was also the owner, as he told us he made my dessert (pear tart). I liked that the menu was prix fixe--we each chose one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert. The best appetizer was the mushroom ravioli, although I also enjoyed my salad with... More

Our family came to this small restaurant entirely based on tripadvisor. The other reviewers are very accurate, the service was very friendly (rare in France) and the food was outstanding, real french food from a small restaurant. The waiter (who i suspect is the owner) really cares and obviously has a passion for what he does and has a great... More

This tiny little locals restaurant was one of the best meals we had in Paris. No tourists there - all local food prepared in the classic French manner. All four of us had different dishes and we couldn't decide whose was best. The appetizer of mushrooms on puff pastry or the ravioli alfredo? The chicken in mustard sauce or the... More

This place englobes well the best French experience: discreet, small, great quality and away from the mad touristic places. The owner is a bit shy but really nice. We were around and decided to stop by before our reservation was due. He was very accommodating!!! Food is really superb and as you may expect, there are good wines to go... More

We have eaten at Le Cadole many times over the last 10 years and have never been disappointed. Super cuisine super prices super ambience. Last Wednesday surpassed itself. The fish main course was worthy of 2 Michelin stars!!! And of course Bushmills whiskey. A restaurant with Bushmills has to be extra. Cannot recommend it enough. Every time we visit Paris... More

My wife and I had lunch with my Aunt at La Cadole. Due to a late flight, we were very late for our reservation, but Thierry kindly kept the our table open. The meal was absolutely delicious, the confit duck leg being a highlight. We will definitely be returning to La Cadole the next time we're in Paris.

Had booked for my partners birthday due to the reviews and was not disappointed. The place is small and intimate and the service was great. Did not realise the 14th May was a bank holiday in France and the restaurant was due to close, however as we had booked in advance the owner had opened which was amazing and meant... More

We choose La Cadole as it had such good reviews and was next to our hotel. It didn't dissapoint. Choice of 2 menus priced €31.50 & €39.50. We had the more expensive one. I had scallops to start and my husband had the mushroom tart. The sauce with the tart was amazing. I choose seabass with a langustine coulis, it... More

Had the greatest meal here. I started with 'Croustade de pleurotes en persillade'. Beautifully creamy sauce. I chose 'Grenadin de veau sauce aux cèpes' as my main course. The succulent meat was cooked to perfection. After a short break I ate their cold and warm strawberries. Wow! Our host made us very welcome and my wife and I would love... More

I recently tried La Cadole for dinner with my dad. We both had an appetizer, main course, and dessert. To start, we both had the mushroom tart, which was served in a delicious puff pastry. My dad had the shrimp and linguine as his main course and I had the steak. Both were very good. For dessert we both had... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Saint-Germain-des-Pres
In Saint-Germain-des-Prés, life is effortlessly chic and all things are beautiful. The main boulevard is dotted with famed terraced cafés, haut-couture shops, ivy-covered railings and fine-dining restaurants. Antique dealers and art galleries surround the fine art school and small museums hide in unassuming squares. The neighbourhood’s namesake church is the oldest in Paris and is the backdrop for talented musicians every weekend. The Luxembourg Gardens house the national senate, splendid lawns and flourishing flower beds. Famous faces and bourgeois Parisians frequent Saint Germain accompanied by the students of Rue Saint Guillaume and Rue des Saints-Pères. This is a neighbourhood where afternoon people-watching from a café or playing cards in a brasserie are a key part of the daily fabric.
