Really disappointed. We both had strawberry and it was cloyingly sweet and not rich and creamy. It's not cheap and is located in a touristy area; one and done.

We had seen Anthony Bourdain's recommendation to go here while in Paris and boy are we glad we went! Totally worth the 20 minute line (we had no complaints as we were having Amorino gelato from down the street while we waited). I got the...More

Berthillon has the generally acknowledged best ice cream I’m Pais. That’s an accomplishment in itself, the city of food deciding that Berthillonis the best. I don’t have too many doubts about that. It truly is excellent ice cream. Compare it to something else? Hard to...More

This is a fun place to stop if your wandering around Ile Saint Louis. The staff was friendly and helpful and the ice cream was delicious. The only downside was that it was a bit pricey, but it's probably worthy it for the experience.

Visited on a wet and windy day in February so luckily there was no queue! Had coffee and dark chocolate ice cream which both were amazing individually but tasted even better combined! Their ice cream was equal to if not better than the ice cream...More

This very famous ice cream is indeed wonderful. We waited for a table in the cafe and I recommend doing so. Having cafe along with the ice cream dishes and macarons make it the full experience!

I have two super critics, 8&10 year old grandsons. This ice cream doesn't matchup with Blue Bell. They are living on their old reputation and we won't bother again.

A Parisian landmark, we stopped by the flagship (and only?) store located at 29-31 rue Saint-Louis en l’île one afternoon, and joined a long, winding queue outside. There’s a number of restaurants and delis reselling Berthillon in Paris (and perhaps better stocked), but we were...More

Ile de la Cite / Ile Saint-Louis
Two islands sit in the middle of the Seine at the very
heart of Paris. The more majestic one, Ile de la Cité,
sparkles with history. This is the birthplace of
Paris, the home of the Gothic Sainte-Chapelle, and the
site of the prison where Marie Antoinette was held
before her execution. Tourists flock to see the iconic
Notre Dame and the beautiful bridges that straddle the
Seine. Ile Saint-Louis, the more provincial island,

there are several places with Berthillon ice cream near church Notre Dame and île de Saint Louis. As Paris is a tourist town, I believe you will find several ice cream parlors open.
