We had the menu Petit comptoir with foie gras, chicken breast with sweet potatoes and mushrooms, a great cheese plate and an excellent baba au rhum. The quality of the food was remarkable for the moderate price of 40€. The amuse was very pleasant (broccoli and cucumber consommé). The wine selection was quite extensive, including half bottles. The staff were... More

Service and food were excellent. I can highly recommend the veal duo! Cheese on a trolley and Crepes Suzette at your table. Wine was outstanding and great value! Lovely ambience and I loved it that the waiters didn't switch to English when they heard my accent (I love speaking French!)

Having dinner here after a Champagne day-trip. Just walk-in and no reservation (as usual :p). Environment is good and seems that they put all non-booked customers or so called tourists in a same section. Taste of food and appearance are good. Servicing is good and waiters & waitress are nice.

I rarely feel compelled to write a bad review - usually if I don't have something good to say I keep my mouth shut. We were 3 well traveled wine professionals in town for Champagne week and having heard great things about this restaurant, one of our friends made a reservation for us. We were given menus in English without... More

During a tour in the champagne region, someone recommended "au petit comptoir". We had a nice evening. The restaurant is well located and nicely decorated and the food is good. The staff tends to serve the dishes too quickly and is not very guest-oriented. Within 40 minutes we had an aperitive, a starter and a main course. Afterwards, we asked... More

We took the menu of €26. Excellent value. Soup, tarte aux artichauts, fish, veal, moelleux chocolat, glace champagne....a glass of wine included. Everything was perfect! Deco is modern and dynamic. A deal you cannot resist.

We had a fixed price menu. The food was delicious and the service was also very good. Excellent value for money.

We were in town for just one night and we were pleased that au petit comptoir made the effort to seat us without reservations. We're puzzled at other comments about unfriendly staff, as we found everyone friendly, accommodating and helpful. The food was nicely presented and perfect portions. The molten chocolate dessert was wonderful!

Booked a table for 12 on recommendation of our b&b host. We speak little French and the staff little English. Great fun! They catered for our teenagers specials requests and didn't object that we wanted a mix of menu options. Service was perfect. Efficient, professional and by French standards warm. Some have written notes about cold and unfriendly. We didn't... More

We stopped here to eat on our tour of the champagne region and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. The beef was cooked to perfection, the wine was a delicious pairing and they even did a special occasion dessert for the couple in our tour who were celebrating their anniversary. The waitstaff was attentive and pleasant. Try the pineapple dessert. It... More
