There is a friendly welcome. The menu at lunchtime was some what limited and not good for a vegetarian. We asked if they could do an omelette for the children but they could not.

We had lunch here (fixed price menu) while exploring the old town. Fantastic location with lovely garden beside the church and amazing view over the countryside. The menu was appealing and the food expertly prepared and presented. They make a point of preparing their own dishes ('house maid' !!). Service professional and courteous. A bit slow, only one waiter -... More

Cant beat the view from this high up restaurant across Loches. The lunch carte is rather small (3 entrees/3 mains) to give an adequate choice. However, the food was well presented, properly prepared and professionally served, with good carafe wine. On a sunny day, you probably cant beat it in Loches for a good holiday lunch.

We called in here because we were tired after visiting The Keep , the Church and the Palace in Loches and we found it on the way back from The Keep..There is a lovely terrace that overlooks the valley. We had a few drinks and a snack and for that it was fine , what made it a bit special was... Having just walked around the castle, we strolled into this place and sat out on the casual dining terrace admiring the view. You shouldn't expect a gourmand dining experience - that is not what this place is about. It does good simple food & drinks, tables in the shade and a lovely view, with a relaxed atmosphere. Service was polite... More

We visited this restaurant as we were attending an evening concert at Le Donjon nearby, and at first glance it looked promising with superb views over the town and surrounding area. However, the service was sloppy, the very restricted menu was disappointing and the presentation appalling! We were constantly distracted by the pinging of the microwave which did little to... More

We chose this restaurant for its magnificent view over the Loire Valley and Loche community, on 14 July to celebrate France and admire the fireworks. We were 8 and although the food was not the best and we highly disliked the Turkish-style toilet, we enjoyed the atmosphere and the service - quite good. We had a big surprise when we... More

We visited Loches in the evening. The town looked like abandoned. No people on the streets. Caffees closed. To find this restaurant by the church on the old town was like finding a nice asylum. The food is not perfect but fresh and simple. The service was very friendly. Maybe we were lucky, maybe it is because it is not... More
