Food was great, especially entrée and dessert. Nice family atmosphere and servers were very friendly. However meal took 3 hours which was a bit ridiculous, otherwise would recommend.

Reservations Required!!! Simply terrific atmosphere, service and food. Appetizer of venison pate with rhubarb chutney, boeuf entre and a nice selection of Loire Valley wines. A nice walk from the train station or cathedral.
This time restaurant is a short walk down the road from the cathedral. Like many bistros, it has a smallish menu. The foie gras was excellent: slices of liver with thin honey and raisin bread. The lamb knuckle cooked with dried fruit in local cider...More

Apart from a slight hiatus over the table booking, this was very good indeed. The restaurant is quite small, the staff are very friendly and well versed in both the menu, the daily specials and the wine list. Our meal was nicely cooked and presented;...More
Another lovely lunch at Le Tripot. One of our favourite restaurants in the region. Looking forward to May 2017 when I'll be back. Shopping, eating and drinking in my favourite town in France.
Merci pour votre commentaire, rendez-vous en mai 2017!!
We arrived in Paris and drove directly to Chartres on a Saturday. We spent the afternoon wandering around the cathedral and the old town. As dinner time neared, we thought we could just wander in to any restaurant for a meal. Alas, every restaurant we...More
