The best restaurant in azay is an under statement, this is one of the very best restaurants I have experienced in all my extensive travels. I've eaten around France, around the world, and for exquisite fine food, beautifully cooked and presented the chef here is a master! Value for money is sometimes a personal appraisal, but if you want a... More

We had a most enjoyable evening meal here. The lady owner was charming and helpful. Thoroughly recommended.

Small and a little hidden this place serves a good lunch of originally prepared local produce. Very good and friendly service. The only drawback is the noise factor due to low ceiling and wooden chairs on a tile floor.

As other reviewers have said, it is a really good restaurant a bit hidden away but worth looking for. Friendly hosts, delicious food, interesting dining room, a great experience.

We stayed in the village and noticed this place was always full. We got there at opening time in the evening and it was already booked. As we had been there at 6pm and asked about dinner the staff remembered us. They found a table for us but not for the couple coming right behind us. Excellent food.

Restaurant is closest to main entrance to chateau and is simply superb in all ways. Husband and wife team with husband being the chef and wife greeting and serving guests. Food was outstanding - not a large menu every day but what was on it was fantastic. Good was fresh and beautifully presented and offered 3 course meal that was... More

This restaurant is tucked away at the end of the street leading to the chateau. It was closed our first night in town but fortunately re-opened the next day. Nice intimate setting and very tasty cuisine.

Good starter, but not great. Suzy had a nice salad. We both had lamb which was off the charts good! Desert was chocolate cake - good. But not super. Very nice wine! Service was good. Outdoor seating next to the chateau!

This is a charming small restaurant right next to the chateau. We had the best meal of the week during our recent stay in the Loire. Reassuringly small menu, To start melon and smoked salmon. I then had cod, hubby rump steak. Puds ile flotante (divine) and chocolate mousse. Superb as good as you'd get in a Michelin starred restaurant... More

Small unpretentious restaurant but the hostess was perfect, translated the menu for us. Every dish was excellent and beautifully presented. Limited prix fixe menu, either 25 (for 2 dishes) or 30 euros (for 3 dishes).
