This 30 seat local establishment in a nutshell: home style but excellent, well prepaired local food with impressive wine list. But the thing tonight was the SERVICE. Two ladies handled full restaurant with a smile, joking, explaining, one with good english and another with the help of google translator😀. We had the best time ever looking them to work. Keep... This was the place we selected for a quiet birthday dinner, and fortunately we called ahead for a reservation. As it turned out Chez Leon must be very popular as it filled up quickly. It is a fairly small restaurant and it being winter, only indoor tables were set. We were welcomed in a very friendly and efficient manner, sitting... More

We were looking for a small local restaurant not heavily trafficked by tourists and Chez Leon fit the bill. The staff was patient with us despite our not knowing French and assisted us with wine selection. The boeuf Bourguignon was prepared in a traditional manner and thus the flavors were a little more subtle than when prepared in locations outside... More

We went to the restaurant at 13.40 to have lunch. The waiter said we were not so much people (4) to serve the food because it is not worthy for them. He also said that if we had gone more people it would have been possible to offer the meal. I won't come back for sure

Dear David, I think that you published this message to the Wong restaurant. Hère, there is only waitresses and no waiter. Moreover, even if we love our customers, we can't offer meals as you said. Best regards. More

This is a great place to have a fantastic meal with equally good wine(s). This family business has been around for a number of generations. Leon is in charge, bien sur. His beautiful, bilingual daughter is the de facto manager. Her uncle is the chef. There is a modest patio outside the front, but we felt that the energetic interior... More

Booking essential. Centre of town fashionable smallish restaurant. The wine in carafe (Burgundy, of course) top notch & very reasonably priced. The food also - with accent on local produce. Efficient service but in no way was I hurried.

Chez Leon is a small atmospheric bistro with excellent food. We had the best boeuf bourguignon there with beef so tender it was falling apart in a delectable wine sauce. For an appetizer we shared a very flavourful terrine maison, and for dessert, we had a rich tarte tatin which came with both ice cream and whipped cream. We also... More

Had a wonderful 2 hour lunch at Chez Leon. The escargot and boeuf bourgignon are amazing. Would recommend making reservations however if possible as I saw some people turned away (though the restaurant was never cometely filled while we were there from 12:30 to 2:30. Regardless, if you eat here you will enjoy your meal.

My wife and I tried three time to get into this restaurant and were glad that we managed it on the third try. It's a small, charming bistro, located on one of the many walking streets and while the outside is not particularly striking but the terrace would be nice in good weather, the inside is lovely even if the... Chez Leon deserves its high ratings. We enjoyed a delicious dinner here on a very picturesque Dijon street. Camille, the owner's daughter is personable , speaks lovely English and is a whirlwind taking reservations, dinner orders, serving and smiling all the while. The other server was equally busy and so sweet. Small venue with many locals happily dining inside and... More
