I must admit we did not eat there so I cannot comment on the food. We walked away because I have never had a waiter speak to me so badly. I am not a shrinking violet by any means, I think he was lucky I had my family with me. I see from other reviews I am not alone. The... More

We had lunch at Le Comptier in Concarneau when we visited for the day and rated it as our worst meal of our two week holiday. Some of the low points included the very long wait for both drinks and food, the inexcusably rude waitress and worst of all the quality of the food. The mussels had not been cleaned... More

We went out for a family meal at the restaurant while staying near Concarneau, we chose it because we like the idea of the balcony over looking the town. When we arrived we could not find any staff so, we went upstairs to see if we could find anyone. We were greeted by a really unpleasant member of staff, who... More

It was pouring with rain, so we almost went to the first restaurant with space. We were shown to a table and given menus, but then left unattended for what seemed like an eternity, not even asked what drinks we wanted. When we managed to call the waiter over we were told he was unable to take orders and we... More

With fabulous views over the walled city, this place is rarely quiet, but the food didn't live up to the surroundings. Food was okay, i.e. what you might expect (pizza, burgers), but the service let it down badly. It was erratic, slow and the staff were grumpy, harassed and generally impatient. Worst creme brûlée we have seen in a long... More

The food is excellent and its position with direct views of the harbour and the old town enhances the ambience. Our first evening we enjoyed a full meal, and the next two evenings we were in Concarneau we enjoyed their Tapas. All very good value. The owner really looked after us, and nothing was too much trouble for our first... More

Frankly we were drawn by the location of this place, with the possibility of sitting on the balcony overlooking the harbour. The menu looked ordinary, and my instinct was to go to a neighbouring place making a big feature of the locality of the produce sources, and the fact that all, as in everything, was made on the premises. Well... More

Went here with colleagues from work. The service was good and the location great. The food was good, but not quite to the (high) local standards. Would return but there are other choices around

We arrive admittedly a bit late, around 9:50pm but still was served pretty fast and offered a table. This place is huge with 1st floor and incredibly busy and which makes the staff very busy with a lot of running around and have a hard time trying to serve everyone. But this goes with the territory. The only thing I... More

Visited with friends for coffee and tapas after a morning mooching round the market and the town. Service a just a little slow hence 4 not 5 stars but well worth the wait- the assiette du tapas was plentiful, value for money and beautifully cooked and presented.
