We went to Le Petit Commerce for lunch on Sunday 23 April. It is located on a little pretty street, and I could smell the delicious seafood as soon as we walked in. The fish soup was very delicious, and the seafood platter was a little overwhelming at first but was so fresh and so good!

Visited Le Petit Commerce on the recommendation of our hotel and were not disappointed with the food. Excellent seafood selection. We started with oysters and then shared a dressed crab and some shrimp. Not a place for a first date as you have to get 'stuck in' to the seafood, but the food was excellent and in a nice atmosphere.... More

We had a fantastic and huge seafood platter followed by grilled whole fish. Lovely, very fresh fish. The atmosphere is friendly and informal with cheerful young staff. Great location just off Place St Pierre. We sat just inside so we could benefit from the people-watching without actually sitting out in the street. Highly recommend this place. Not cheap but good... This restaurant was recommend by our hotel. Their recommendations haven't all been spot on. Also, full disclosure, we came very close to the lunch closing time as the restaurant takes a break before dinner service. Therefore the service was poor and the dishes we wanted (like mussels were sold out). However, the reason we give this place a very good... More

We spent 5 days in Bordeaux and ate here 3 times both lunch and dinner. If you like fish this is the place and it is done brilliantly. The octopus is divine, oysters similar, hake, clams, razor clams, ,prawns skate the lot. Often done with a superb mashed potato with the main course. They do meat as well. For a busy... More

Visited here for a quick bite to eat one lunchtime. The menu has a good selection for all tastes and also includes a very limited selection of beef for those in your party who are not fish lovers. No frills and good friendly service presented at a price point commensurate with a big city; affordable although not value. We would... More

Like many English people we went here on the basis of an excellent review by Rick Stein. The restaurant was packed and the staff were almost manic in the way they were running around. Things started well, our waitress was very friendly and our starters of asparagus and a half crab were good. We had to wait a very long... More

You can eat meat or vegetarian if you want, but go to Le Petit Commerce because you love seafood. Let the friendly staff help with recommendations and soak it up. The fish is market fresh daily, cooked simply but well. We shared a whole sole, filleted. With one part grilled (with a paprika flour coating) and the other grilled with... More
