Disappointed not to be able to book a table in first two choices, so asked the man in tante Charlotte who recommended this charming place. Had an absolutely delicious meal, not a huge menu, but varied and top quality. Excellent service - relaxed and attentive. Totally recommended.

We are frequent diners in central Bordeaux, but this restaurant stands out for all the right reasons. The interior has a beautiful vaulted stone ceiling and was nice and cool given the hot outside temperature. The welcome was warm, the cote de boeuf splendid and the moelleux de chocolat outstanding. The owner advised us well on our choice of wine... More

Enjoyed a really great dinner here, food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great place to go if you want a quiet, romantic and fancy meal. We got the sharing steak which was really tasty, good wine also!

This was recommended by the owner of the chambres d'hotes where we were saying. Service was excellent and thoughtful. Food was outstanding. As a big meat eater I was happy with foie gras and overwhelmed by the rare entrecôte. If you do not like big food or are non discerning just go to the Golden Arches and indulge yourselves. St... I have to say the place was nice, the service adequate and the food we ate good but it was not what we expected from the reviews. I had deliberately picked this place as my wife loves french bistro cooking, this wasn't really it. The food was a fusion of french and japanese, nice but not what we were looking... More

We thought this restaurant was great. The front of house staff was friendly & did their best at translating the menu into English. The wine was reasonably priced & the food was exceptional. We had a really great night & highly recommend this restaurant for traditional French cuisine.

My wife and I had a lovely meal here. We were met by a charming, friendly host who was happy to explain the menu in English. We had Gambas in filo pastry for our first course and this was very tasty with an interesting twist to it.. a hint of curry! Just a hint. The base of the filo had... More

Can only agree with all the sterling reviews of this charming place with the vaulted stone walls of an old wine cave. Everyone in our group of 4 enjoyed their dinner, from the obviously home baked bread to the delicious carafe of house wine (even if not Pommard like the previous reviewer) to the food. I’ve waited too long after... More

This place is great. The owners are charming and quite humble. Steak was amazing. Fish delicious. Wine was a carafe of pomerol. Try this place.
