Have made two previous attempts to book a table at Croc Loup. Succeeded on third. Well worth the wait Service from Madame Durin was exemplary, each course explained in detail. From the Amuse Bouche thro' to the coffee everything was perfect. Typical small French restaurant...More

I love bordeaux : it's food and wine. I've eaten in some great restaurants here including those with Michelin stars but this may just be the best. Very small place with 10 to 12 tables. Mostly locals with a few European visitors and me as...More

This is a great small restaurant in the heart of the old town of Bordeaux. The foie gras starter was good but the highlight were the main dishes. Both the duck breast (huge portion) and the house specialty (chicken leg staffed with foie gras) were...More

After seeing the good reviews on trip advisor, we put croc loup on our short-list for Bordeaux and could only get in on our last day, Saturday. It was a wonderful choice with great amuse bouche, wonderful squid ravioli, great St Jacques with Safron Sauce,...More

With only 29 places booking is essential which is not surprising given food, ambiance and service of the highest order. Our charming waiter was able to accurately describe in English all the dishes with their ingredients. Her efficiency and helpfulness added to the experience. The...More

Everything about the meal, which features a four-course menu for the price of a lesser meal in most restaurants, was first class. The meal was delicious - though I found the food under-seasoned my husband disagrees - and generous including amuse-bouche of a delectable tomato...More

We found this little gem on Trip Advisor and made a booking (reservations just about essential). It's a very small restaurant with one waitress who manages to keep smiling while she manages all the tables. We went for the 3 course menu which was amazing...More

Nice little restaurant with a great wine list. The food was very good, and the foie was the best I had in France. Service was very good. She got a little slammed when the place filled up, but she still stayed on top of everything.

After two weeks in SW France we’d eaten at a lot of nice restaurants but this was the best meal we’d had. It’s a small restaurant run by a husband and wife team. Lovely service and lovely food. Please go. (Booking probably advisable.)
