Small restaurant, you will need a reservation. The girl who runs the floor is sweet and helpful, though since she is the only one, service is slow. There is really no reason to complain, however - food is amazing and the 4 or 5 set course is a great deal. Excellent and recommended!

We ate here on a Saturday night. The restaurant was fully booked mainly with locals which is always a good sign. As mentioned in other reports there is only one waitress but she was excellent and the service was superb. She guided us through the menu and encouraged us to try the house specialities which were all good. If we... More

Thanks in part to tripadvisor, we had another exceptionally great dinner in France that would be equal to any 5 star restaurant in the us at double the cost. Attractive restaurant that presents a delicious amuse bouche and took pride in the delicious appetizer of stuffed cod with veggies, rice and spicy sausage (my description is not doing it justice)... An honest, good quality restaurant that provides high class food at a reasonable price. It is a down to earth experience, not ostentatious, but relies on the food to impress you. There is only one waitress, so you will need to be patient; but she works very hard, is polite, multi lingual and never forgot who had ordered what dish....... More

Have made two previous attempts to book a table at Croc Loup. Succeeded on third. Well worth the wait Service from Madame Durin was exemplary, each course explained in detail. From the Amuse Bouche thro' to the coffee everything was perfect. Typical small French restaurant where flavour and freshness prevail.

I love bordeaux : it's food and wine. I've eaten in some great restaurants here including those with Michelin stars but this may just be the best. Very small place with 10 to 12 tables. Mostly locals with a few European visitors and me as the only English speaking guest. The waitress spoke excellent English and was easily able to... More

This is a great small restaurant in the heart of the old town of Bordeaux. The foie gras starter was good but the highlight were the main dishes. Both the duck breast (huge portion) and the house specialty (chicken leg staffed with foie gras) were excellent, properly cooked and very good value. A very decent wine list (given that it... More

After seeing the good reviews on trip advisor, we put croc loup on our short-list for Bordeaux and could only get in on our last day, Saturday. It was a wonderful choice with great amuse bouche, wonderful squid ravioli, great St Jacques with Safron Sauce, Great gigolette of Chicken (even for those that don't normally order chicken) and a lovely... With only 29 places booking is essential which is not surprising given food, ambiance and service of the highest order. Our charming waiter was able to accurately describe in English all the dishes with their ingredients. Her efficiency and helpfulness added to the experience. The amuse bouche was an exquisite prawn on a skewer over an extremely light delicious mousse.... More
