Even if we were somewhat difficult guests with mediocre French and slow decisions, the waitress never lost her temper and good mood. So we had a nice evening here with good food and tasty wine. Prices are as at other places in Strasbourg. Outdoor sitting is limited. There is a vegetarian tarte flambee, which was even a little too heavy... More

We were visiting Strasbourg for the day while in the Black Forest and it was raining almost constantly. La Petite Alsace beckoned and we decided to follow its sweet song promising tarte flambee (or Flammkuchen in German; think super-thin pizza-ish dough, toppings and all is baked over an open flame in an oven). Lovely little place in La Petite France... More

This restaurant is located in the Petite France area. We were exploring the area when we passed by noticing only one empty table outside on a beautiful evening. We were given menus promptly. I ordered quiche lorraine which was served beautifully and was delicious. My husband ordered the recommended salmon and had the better dinner. We lingered over wine and... More

A group of colleagues and myself went to this restaurant on May 31st, 2014 for lunch. First the waitress didn't get our drink order right, then after ordering food my friend received a salad. After taking a few bites of salad he threw his fork down because there was a HUGE PREGNANT WHITE SPIDER, inside of his salad crawling around!... More

The overall ambience of this relatively smaller restaurant is nice and rustic. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. Wine and drinks were fine too. However, the food we had was just average. We both ordered steaks and both were cooked medium (one was supposed to be medium-well). The wine sauce was ok but the bearnaise sauce was... More

This restaurant was very disappointing. We went early evening before it got too busy. Took ages to get served and when we finally did, both meals were very disappointing. I ordered Tartiflette which was basically a dish of boiled potatoes with a bit of cheese and lardons thrown on the top and barely cooked. Not a good experience for a... More

Food was great, but the staff was completely disinterested with patrons. Especially one girl who seemed to be incredibly bored with her work and didn't stop to chew loudly the gum even when speaking to the customers.

Fantastic, friendly and warm staff, with excellent food. felt really at home with the restaurant owners and staff. went to a few other places where we were ushered in and out like tourist cows, but the staff at petit alsace were very welcoming and friendly - so much so that we went back 3 times. food is excellent - from... This restaurant is just steps away from one of Strasbourg's Christmas markets. My husband and I had shopped there before stopping for lunch. We both had a delicious chicken in Reisling sauce with carrots, onions and leeks. The restaurant was very busy, but the staff was attentive and pleasant. Later in the afternoon, when we got back to our hotel,... More

On a recent trip to Strasbourg with my wife and a friend we looked for a restaurant that was local, quaint and reasonably priced. La Petite Alsace was that and more. The exterior is charming in true Alsatian fashion with half timbers and set on a charming cobblestoned street. The interior while small is just as charming and very inviting.... More
