If you want to try good local food in a nice little local house, that's the place to be! Reservation is almost an obligation, there are a very few seats. And it comes to the downside : all the seats are not so compfortable, the place is so limited that space between right/left shoulders with the other client is a... More

We made a reservation for dinner on our last night in Strasbourg and we're very pleased with our dinner! The restaurant is not big, so a reservation is definitely recommended (we walked by the prior two nights and saw it booked). I had the duck with choucroute and potatoes which was very tasty and a good sized portion. The carafe... More

Very small, just a handful of tables, very average food, service is limited as is the wine list. The place is so small everyone is whispering - which considering the size is preferable to having some loud people in the place. No music. Just very disappointing after reading the reviews. I understand that if this is a "first trip" to... More

If you want to remember your grandma's cooking this is a place to go. Small and friendly. They do not take American Express like most places in France - that is why the 4 stars.

Excellent food, friendly and quick service. Best place I found in that area. The waitress spoke English, French and German and they had all of the traditional local favorites. Good prices too! Highly recommended!

We had no reservation but were lucky to get a table. A small miracle in this tiny and packed place! Everything was so French there: the decoration, the very good Gewurstraminer vendange tardive( excellent!), the menu and the service! A very good experience in specialties from Alsace.

we went to dinner in this restaurant and we couldn t have asked for such a good experience. The restaurant is small and a reservation is needed. The atmosphere is homey and you are cuddled in everything. There is some wait for the food but the wait is well deserved ! The owner is very nice and gives great suggestions.... More

We snuggled up with our toddler at a corner table and enjoyed the best meal of our holiday! Beautiful food and wine, and staff were welcoming and warm.

This is a lovely, little restaurant. The food was delicious. I had boeuf bourguignon (the beef was cooked to perfection and the sauce was rich) and the chocolate fondant (highly recommend this). It has a lovely, traditional feel and the service was perfect.

We were visiting Strasbourg in December, and were arriving on a Sunday. Normally most of the restaurants are closed Sundays. We were lucky to learn that Tante Liesel would be open that evening. The doors opened at 7 pm, and in a matter of 10 minutes, all the tables were filled- not one unreserved table! I had the onion tart... More
