The pub looks nice inside, it has a warm feel to it, I'm not sure how service is like normally but today there is only two bar staff serving drinks and felt the service is a bit slow, prices seem reasonable and atmosphere seems fine, there is outside space to sit drink and eat.
It nice to go in for a drink after a walk through fletcher moss park.

It's the Didsbury Pub near Fletcher Moss Park. Didsbury Brasserie was the name of the place where Dimitris is about ten years plus ago. Anyhow the pub has great character as it dates back at least a third of a millennium, as a bit of trivia it is the site where James Joule sold the world's first artificially carbonated beer. Currently it's a very good example of a Chef and Brewer with nice but generic food. Sometimes it does specials which are much better than the menu items. Child friendly but I'd suggest the owners keep the area near the bar for drinkers only so it doesn't feel too much like a dinning only venue.

four of us dropped in here last night early evening for a quick so there wasn't many in. As soon as we walked in our waitress looked after us superbly, nothing was to much trouble and her service was first class. Although the starter for my sister and I, chorizo and bubble and squeak wasn't cooked enough , the egg white was runny and the bub/sqk was undercooked the rest of the meals were fantastic. the service and food was great and we cannot wait to return. thanks to all especially the waitress TARA. Last night Monday dec 2 .

A visit to Didsbury on Sunday led to an impromptu visit to The Didsbury for some lunch. As it was Sunday my wife and I both opted for the roast option. Unfortunately it was far from Satisfactory.
The plate was engulfed with a yorkshire pudding of epic scale whose texture was more like a meringue. The 'goose fat roasted potatoes' were virtually dessicated and tasted weird. The stuffing required an angle grinder to divide it into manageable chunks. The 'pig in blanket' was more a 'hippo in a hankerchief' (large sausage in the teeniest bit of bacon)...
The turkey and gravy were fine though...
We were offered some minted new potatoes to make up for the poor meal.. We declined..
This was our first post pandemic sojourn to a 'restaurant'.... I thought places were meant to be making an effort to win us back!!!

Excellent all round - Buffalo fillet steak in Chocolate is equisite! Fantastic selections of wines too at not-scarey prices. Booking essential.
