Stunning food and the service was excellent. Highly recommend this restaurant. This is not your run of the mill Indian. This is Southern Indian food which means you can get a very different food experience. Loved it.
Thank you Chennai Dosa we had Best indian food, your Fast service, the food quality was amazing and very resonably priced place was very good and peace and excellent view . Would highly recommend this resteraunt.
The best place for a weekend buffet. Breakfast and Lunch buffets. £7-£8. Breakfast buffet by far the best south indian feast. Lunch buffet was fine but no parathas or roti or dosa included. We bought some extra parothas for lunch buffet.
When we arrived at reception a waiter with (Chinese features) sorry dont know his name saw us and carried on cleaning tables and we waited for about 10 minutes and he showed us a table to sit. We read the menu and was waiting to...order he saw us and was drying cutlery in kichen front and we called another waiter who was passing by to take our order. Ordered Vadai,Rava dosa, Masala dosa, Chana batura & Poori. Has to send back vadai as they are soaked in oil and soggy. Took them inside kitchen and brought rava dosa ordered earlier. Nothing was communicated about vadai and no apoligies what so ever. For poori curry when I asked to have little more they tried to charge me extra. Terrible Guys will Never go there Ever again !!!!More
We went to Chennai Dosa after a recommendation from a friend and we made a good choice! When we first entered it was very quiet. Nice staff who ordered our meal even though our middle course took a long time to come. Not as good...as Saravana Bhavan in London but the nearest taste to Saravana Bhavan in the area. Price is reasonable ,not too cheap and not too expensive. Before we left,a lot of people started coming.Definitely coming here again!More
This used to be a good restaurant. The food is still great but the service has gone downhill over the last year. We’ve been in here on two separate occasions and left with no food because they took over 30 mins to even take our...drinks order.
Their staff although friendly don’t seem to have a clue as to how a restaurant works, seating people in whatever order they feel like and going to noisiest tables first. The table arrangement doesn’t help either.
If you want a pleasant dining experience then this is not the place for you. If you want to experience true chaos then you should try their weekend buffet.
But the food is still great but not worth the hassle of going in - so order over the phone collect your food and enjoy it at home.More
I love South Indian food. I visited Chennai dosa with my wife and 2 kids on a Saturday afternoon
Firstly it was an extremely hot day. Walking into the restaurant it was hotter. The ACs were broken or so we thought
We got here at...11:40 but took another 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order. Another 20 minutes passed before we had to enquire about drinks. Waiters walking around looking busy (more like clueless). Asked about our food and they had no idea about our order.
The food was good when it eventually arrived. No complaints there.
As we were about to leave, they turned on the AC. This was the final straw
I’m not sure I want to ever visit again. Service just put me off. Bunch of clueless amateursMore
