Went on a Friday night after 9pm. Never been and didn't know what to expect. The beer was Samuel smiths and was really cheap. Two pints for just over £4. Nice old British pub.

Very busy on arrival but the rain soon cleared the outside drinker and everyone piled inside or under the brollies. All drinks served in plastic glasses and good choice of drinks on offer. Prices are very reasonable but when I paid for my drinks I...More

Good service, cheap pints, and an old fashioned comfy atmosphere that makes you want to stay all day long.

Cheap drinks, plenum of beer and lager choice and great to sit outside during the evening and in the sun. Refreshing to find a proper pub in the city centre that doesn't cost a fortune and also isn't rough. Would visit again.

Just got asked to leave for having a "big bag" although there were loads of people with bags. When I asked why, they said I may blow the place up. Unbelievable!!!

Outside I don't see a problem, it's large area but inside is quite compact.

HI Thinks children are allowed at certain times. It is a very beautiful pub but it must be said it is very small and can get busy. For this reason I would not want to take my child unless you were seated in the very large... More
