Dom’s Tavola Calda brings authentic Italian food to the heart of Manchester City Centre. Select your traditional favourites from our main menu, or opt for something a little different off our specials board which is changed on a regular basis to reflect the fresh seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally. Our doors are always open, seven days a week 12pm until late. The team here at Dom's are always happy to make your dining experience 5 star.
We decided to have a dinner here because it was close to our hotel. The food was meh! had better before but the decorations with plants, lights and flowers were stunning. We had a great time so it was worth it.
Came with my wife, very nice decor, food is great. Pizza is very nice, and the pasta is great too. Would certainly recommend. My only criticism is that I personally would have liked more pizza topping options but I very much enjoyed what I had.
Me and my fiancé dined here last Saturday evening to celebrate our engagement, we was first of all welcomed by a lovely member of staff (didn’t catch his name) and then seated on a lovely little table near the window. My fiancé had the Dom’s...pizza and I had spaghetti bolognese, we Both agreed the food was delicious. Every single member of staff either asked how our meal was or was delightful with us and made our evening so special. Also there is such a cute/romantic atmosphere but is still great for families and friends aswell as couples! Very good prices too!! We was surprised when we was handed the bill. When we next visit manchester we shall definitely be returning here. Thank you for giving us an evening to remember xMore
We visited this restaurant Friday 6th August, we chose it because they cook gluten free dishes as my granddaughter is coeliac, the food was delicious, the staff were really friendly and helpful, we will definitely visit this restaurant again
Now our new favourite local independent. Not sure how we hadn’t noticed this spot, but what a find. Meals are fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is great - good music and pretty decor. Feels very authentic and warming. Would recommend
My partner and i had originally booked to go elsewhere when we decided to change our choice of cuisine and opt for Italian. We'd read some of the reviews on here but this place stood out for its decor on top of the rave reviews....Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by one of the staff and shown to a lovely area near the window. We'd already looked at the menu online and our order was swiftly taken. We ordered wine which was presented very professionally by a different staff member (possibly Italian?) who was also lovely. He allowed my partner to taste the wine first and regularly topped us up.
We did have a bit of a longer than expected wait for the starter of garlic bread with cheese but the restaurant was full and we were busy chatting so it wasn't a huge issue. It tasted wonderful and it was more than enough for the 2 of us to share.
For the main course I ordered linguine ai frutti di mare and my partner had cannelloni. Both came in good time and were piping hot big portions and tasted wonderful.
We really wanted dessert but were too full so opted for Irish and Bailey's coffees which were lovely.
Prices were totally reasonable for a large city centre too. The decor is absolutely lovely, all flowery all over the ceilings and very romantic looking - just beautiful! It's only a small place with about 12 or so tables and the kitchen is open so you can see them cooking your food. Traditional Italian music is played as well which added to the atmosphere.
If I had to make any minor comments it would be that it got quite hot in there (maybe due to the open kitchen?) and there didn't appear to be any air-con or fans. I was a little uncomfortable by this and had to go downstairs to the bathroom and wash my face with cold water to cool down. It wasn't a hot day outside, in fact it was raining, so just bear this in mind and maybe take a little hand fan with you.
The other thing is that as it's a small place it can get quite noisy when it's full due to everyone chatting, and you may have to speak a bit louder than usual for your companion to hear you over the others!
But, this was nothing to put us off returning and we'll definitely be back if we ever return to Manchester. Great staff, great food, great evening!More
