If you've never been, you need to try it! It is brilliant. Having lived in India for 2 years I can say it's as tasty as some of the meals I had there.

Brilliant curry, a cool atmosphere and cheap as it gets for such top quality food - the best way to start the day before a day on the beer 😊👍🏻

Wow. I've been to the other three curry and rice places in the northern quarter and this one is the best, in terms of food and decor. Yes, it is basic and you will probably share a table with a stranger, but for a quick, tasty and great value meal, you can't complain. A range of meat and vegetable curries... More

Don't judge this book by it's cover! Great food, well priced and good customer service. A good choice of curries aways on offer with rice, breads or bhajis, always visit for lunch when I'm in the area

Make no mistake , this place is nothing to look at , even if it has been modernised slightly , but the food is sensational . We had the 1 and 3 and it was brilliant . The saturday menu seems to lean towards lamb and the keema is a knock out . th erice is excellent on its own... More

Delicious food, excellent variety and huge portion sizes. This place puts your local Indian Takeaway to shame with its taste, potion size and incredible value for money. No pretensions here, basic interior, no background music, no comforts but the food speaks for itself- well worth finding, its hidden away in the Northern quarter.

Can't really argue with the food or prices and it's fine if you don't mind it's scruffy appearance. The staff are nice and pleasant. I had rice (lots) chicken curry which was very pleasant without the heat, cabbage which was gorgeous even if it doesn't sound right and lentil daal with a vegetable samosa and overall it compares with more... I usually advocate some situational perspective in reviews - I think a takeaway should be able to get a 5 for doing its job just as a nice restaurant should for doing its own. This & That confused me a little. There's no denying it's popular, and rightly so. It's cheap, it's quick and the food is plentiful. The problem... More

I was first introduced to this & that in 2000 by my late father, Iv been going every since. It's confidently a no frills approach but be assured, there isn't a better or more authentic Indian in Manchester, great value too.
