Set in a beautiful building steeped in history and with 1.99 for a John Smith's and 2.49 for a Wobbly Bob. Enough said

I often pop in here for my witherspoon breakfast and as always I'm completely satisfied, lately I've also been in to try the evening meals and have to say, bravo... the mix grill is wonderful and very good value for money, as are the curry nights, highly recommended.

Thanks for the review, we love hearing that people are enjoying visiting the pub, especially for the food. If you like the curry club, I can highly recommend the Mexican Monday food deal too, it is rather tasty! More

Went in for breakfast. Great breakfasts! Historic architectural building, inexpensive Weatherspoons food. Only downside are lots of solitary men nursing their pints at 10am. Wouldnt it be nice for them if they were encouraged to sit together and talk to each other.

Thanks for the review. We think our breakfasts are great value for money too. As for the solitary drinkers, they do talk to each other and there is a lovely sense of community when they all get together. More

Have visited this pub for many years,& what we love about it is the excellent choice of real ales,&the friendliness of the staff. In addition the speed of service on food orders is really good,my only reservation would be it could benefit from improved decor.

Visited this Wetherspoons last night for drinks and food. Usual well cooked food, great priced drinks and welcoming staff. Can't go wrong at Wetherspoons.

I have today for the first time been treated extremely rudely by your member of staff. The lady who served me according to the receipt is called Emma. I have been a patron of The Sedge Lynn in Chorlton, Manchester for well over a decade. I have had many enjoyable nights and have been having breakfast and others meals in... More

I'm extremely sorry for the way you have been treated, this is certainly a very rare occasion, normally our staff are very polite and courteous. I would appreciate if you would come in and see me one day so I can sit down with you and dicuss your concerns in person. Regards Kirstin More

This is the sort of place that is stuck in time. The place is some what stinky and could really do with a refit. It's a haunt for those who like to start boozing early doors. Overall the place is some a little ruff.

Thank you for the review. We appreciate your opinion and those of the community we are endeavouring to improve the pub as much as we can, and are currently waiting on a refurbishment. We do however pride ourselves in our friendly and welcoming customer service and atmosphere - it's certainly not a rough pub. See you soon! The Sedge Lynn More

Never eaten here but I imagine the same as other pubs in this chain. Good value. An old snooker hall this place is very atmospheric and full of characters. Great for people watching. Only ever been midweek but always pretty busy.

Strong smell of cannabis drifting in through the main entrance. Unruly children running around irritating the elderly. Apart from that I have no criticism of an excellent pub.

Hi there. Thanks for the review, I'm glad you like the pub. We are aware of cannabis smoking happening in the garden next door to the pub, we're trying to manage it but its not our property. Also, being a family pub, we do have children in the pub, although they shouldn't be running around disturbing people. I will speak... More

Lovely building. Sadly, the place looks like hasn't been proper cleaned for a while. Tables, chairs, carpets, everything seems to be dusty and sticky. Deep cleaning and refreshing would make a massive change. It's Wetherspoon, you get a big choice of food, poor quality, but can't really expect anything better for the price. Cheap drinks as well. Would recommend for... More
