Absolutely LOVE this place for a few drinks and a nibble! The food is the perfect summer type food to have with a few friends over a few drinks. I would recommend the cheese and meat platter and the tempura king prawns are to die...More

Came in just for drinks on a Saturday evening - was the right mix of busy but not packed (got about the last table going). Nice atmosphere, our pints of pale ale were 5.50 a pop.

Popped in for a drink as we were walking past. Beer was good and the setting was quirky if a little ‘too much’. Would come back if in the area.

Went here with some friends and won't be back. Ordered four large spirits with mixers and watched the world's most miserable barmaid pour four short measures (without measuring them) into dirty glasses, filling the glasses quickly with ice, then demanding over £42 for the pleasure...More

Went here after seeing it recommended in the 15 best Sunday roasts in Manchester. Food was better than ok overall...really lovely slow roasted meats but they were let down a bit by only ok veg. Roast potatoes were disappointing and cauliflower cool. £14.95 for a...More

The Blue Pig, an illustrious drinking hole situated right in the heart of Manchester's fabulous Northern Quarter, has gone through a transformation in the autumn of 2014. Carefully crafted cocktails are a speciality, featuring many of the well known (and lesser known) spirits that cram its shelves behind the bar; from fine aged exotic rums & unusual small batch gins to flavour filled vodkas, single malt whiskies, sippers, snifters & digestifs... Craft beers have a big part to play in its revelling repertoire as do some fantastic local real ales. The Pig's signature burgers and roasts are rated as some of the best in Manchester, and sharing boards & specials guarantee there is something for every food lover. Evenings and weekends are hosted by some of Manchester's finest DJs, featuring Northern Quarter favourites So Flute and Lee Majors plus special guests. Keep an eye out for details...
