Enjoyed a relaxed midweek al fresco lunch at The Wharf, overlooking the canal basin. Good selection of drinks and a varied food menu. The food was tasty and quick, though it was quiet. We suspect that it may be different on match days !

Stumbled upon this place when we came Xmas shopping on a cold Saturday afternoon. The place is very well done out and was very busy when we arrived at about 3pm. I was there with my wife and 18 year old daughter and we ordered...More

Living locally I thought I’d finally give this place a try despite a few bad reviews. The service was pretty good to be fair, if only I could say the same about the food. 4 of us had Sunday dinner and only 1 of us...More

I came to the Wharf on my lunch with my work colleagues. The Wharf is located on the other side of the canal at Castlefield. The food was decent and the staff were friendly. Would likely come back here again.

Make no mistake, the Wharf is a popular choice on a Sunday afternoon and you will probably wait for a while to eat. However, the staff are friendly and helpful and will let you know when you order. Food is really good and there's a...More

I went here for Sunday lunch with a big group of about ten people. We all paid separately, some in cash, but mostly on cards. The waitress then accused us of not paying for 3 meals. We double checked the amount we paid and it...More

Celebrating the mother in laws birthday, food was delicious. The service was inattentive but very friendly once prompted to remember we were there. The venison was nice, served pink with a delicious fondant potato. Sausages were herby and served with bucket-loads of gravy once requested!

I expected a better meal. The venue is great and it's in a nice area so I expected a good meal but I was disappointed. It was t big enough, it needed mash to complete it but it wasn't on the menu. But the service...More

Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant they are only allowed downstairs in the bar. This helps with the lovely community atmosphere of the bar and the dogs are very welcome by most visitors.

Yes very much so. My children are often here with me. It's our local. Fenced area and benches outdoors. Common sense prevails obviously to keep an eye on them but we love it there

The wharf has its own monitored car park and there are numerous car parks close by. First Avenue is an excellent short/long stay car park and the local NCP car parks on Deansgate are reasonably priced also.
