Habeesha has been one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester for some time. The food is always excellent; tasty and different to your normal dining experience. Beer is cheap! The restaurant is unpretentious and the service is always outstanding, very attentive and helpful. Couldn’t recommend...More

The first time I went to Habesha I was slightly confused. You need to enter through a take away and head up a spiral staircase. If you get past that you're on to a winner. Upstairs is an intimate cafe style restaurant which is simply...More

A fantastic little place on the first floor above a fast food joint. The waiter was super friendly and extremely helpful in guiding us through the small menu. The food is served on a kind of sour Ethiopian flat bread/ pancake and you use this...More

Not able to find anything negative about my visit to habesha on 6 December 2017. Absolutely charming staff member, very relaxed atmosphere, how best to eat the food was explained by our smiling waiter. The food was tasty and very well cooked. It is so...More

First time I've had Ethiopian food. Café was easy to miss as is on first floor. Chicken doro wat was wonderfully spicy and came with the classic injera sourdough flatbread with its characteristic spongy texture. Recommended!

Definitely one to thank T.A for. From the street you'd avoid every day of the week: looks like a typical take away establishment. Go in though and upstairs is a cracking spot. Very eclectic, so if you want haute cuisine or fine dining go elsewhere....More

This was our best experience during 3 recent days staying in Manchester and eating and drinking in lots of places. You really have to search for it - make sure you have the street number and then head up the spiral staircase leading out of...More

Service from the waiter was impeccable during our visit. Unique food which we hadn't tried before and would especially recommend the veggie dish Shiro! The setting is very modest and clean, only slight disappointment was they had run out of Ethiopian beer. We will definitely...More

Delicious and authentic Ethiopian cuisine. Very good value and excellent service by the waiter - I wish more restaurants offered a similar service. Modest and authentic surroundings which added to the vibe. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy something different in the city centre
