We go quite regularly to eat in Habesha with my boyfriend. The food is simply the best I've ever eaten! Huge portions, really nice wine, the guy who always serves us is very attentive , makes suggestions about what we might like! The selection is quite simple but it doesn't really matter when the food is divine! I sometimes wish... More

We had never tried a food like that and the truth is that is really special. Also the waiter is kind and he explain you how to eat it. It is worth to go.

Four of us enjoyed an excellent evening with advice and smiling service from the staff (of one, front of house!). We resisted the temptation to ask for forks or spoons and managed to eat everything with our fingers, which I have to admit was a little messy, but nevertheless very tasty. For something completely different, I can thoroughly recommend it... More

My wife and I called into this place after looking it up. It is actually upstairs above a takeaway so keep a careful lookout if you are trying to find it. Once you go up the circular stairs you are met with a long room with basic furniture and slightly tired décor. Once sat we were shown a menu which... More

Our first experience of Ethiopian food - and it was amazing! The food was very tasty and the meat really tender. Plenty of flatbread rolls and the injera "plate" from which to eat our doro wot and yebeg wot. No side dishes on the menu as such, but the waiter suggested we pick something from the vegetarian meal to have... More

Came here with a friend for lunch, we had the yetsom beyaynetu (vegetarian) and lega tibs. Both the dishes were fantastic. I recommend the vegetarian dish as it has a few things you can try. Cinnamon tea was really nice and very sweet. Had the sweetest man serving us (didn't get his name) and they took the tastecard no problem... More

This little restaurant is really hidden and above a kebab shop. Staff very friendly and excellent customer service. Food great, waiter explained what everything on the menu was. Food came out hot and delicious. Well worth the visit and good price too

This place represents fabulous value, delicious food and superb service. We called in here by chance and were very impressed. They provided authentic tastes of Ethiopian cuisine and culture. We were served by the most cheerful, helpful and informative gentleman you could wish to meet. Thanks.

Noticed this place had good reviews and never having tried Ethiopian food we thought we would give it a go - we weren't disappointed. This is not 'fine dining' but good tasty food in what is little more than a café. Service was excellent and friendly and price was very reasonable - Ethiopian beer at £2 per bottle was a... More

I visited Habesha with a friend for a late lunch. It was our first time trying Ethiopian food but as Habesha has been recommended to us by a number of people we knew we were to expect something special. From the outside, its quite easy to miss the restaurant as it is situated on the first floor, above a unrelated... More
