Classic pub though part of a chain. Clean, well-looked after with a good range of beers and pub food that majors on well-sourced produce. Gin list seems interesting though we only tried a couple of beers which were both in good nick.

Old fashioned style pub at the back of the town hall. Good for a pint however you wont be doing much disco dancing in there as its quite small.
Only went for a couple of drinks. Stumbled on it when walking round. Really great atmospheric pub. Plenty of diners too although we didn't eat here as already had a restaurant booking would try next time in Manchester for Lunch.
