Having a seafood set menu dinner, it comes firstly with a miso soup which is a bit salty but the taste is quite good. Afterwards, a starter platter comes with a fish cake, sushi roll and spring roll. The fish cake is excellent but the...More

We had a fantastic time at Teppanyaki Chinatown, with delicious food, a relaxed and friendly environment and of course entertainment, the venue has everything that you would expect. The ambience is not exceptional (it's quite small and slightly dark), but it creates an intimate and...More

Group of 13 people and they really served us well, took their time and made delicious food. Only thing is your clothes really smell like the food due to the show cooking.

This is my favorite restaurant in Manchester, the quality of the food is exceptional and nothing else in the city delivers this quality at such a reasonable price. I keep returning.

Yes, but at the price I would not recommend it.

My fiancee is Japanese and we have tried some different Japanese restaurants in Manchester (Sapporo Teppanyaki, New Samsi, Wasabi, Yuzu, Tokyo Season) and while some have been alright they never quite hit the spot of due to substituted ingredients (be it rice/vegetables/meat). Price isn't an issue, as it would be quite unfair to expect low prices and authentic taste. From what we have experienced many of the restaurants in Manchester are Chinese owned with Chinese cooks. I'd like to ask if Teppanyaki is Japanese-managed? Are there Japanese chefs on premises? Hope you can help.
