Went for the pre-theater menu before attending the Bridgewater hall. Booking was at 5.30pm but arrived early at 5.10pm and we were invited in and seated without any problem. The restaurant was extremely busy for this time of day with the majority of customers attending the theater. Service was excellent and the food and drink were good. A 2 course... More

Took 8 of my Italian friends/family here thinking it would be good. The service was very slow, took 30 minutes before we were seated. Waited at the bar, and was 25 minutes before we managed to get a drink and that was only because I complained to the manager. Regulars appeared to get priority service, food was ok, but sadly... The service was adequate and the waitresses were friendly but what let the restaurant down was the main course. They were very disappointing, some were cold, some tasteless. As 7 of us had the set menu, we thought it would be clearly seen on the bill but it was very confusing and very hard to understand. Even now we are... More

We have regularly used this restaurant for Pre concert dining. The food is always of a high syandard from the Al La Carte Menu and the pre concert deal is both good value and of comparable standard. The service is always attentive even when under pressure. The house wines are very good Latest visit 17 November

Tried this restaurant as very close to Premier Inn where we were staying. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Served promptly, food very good, the lobster risotto was delicious. Staff attentive during the meal but not obtrusive. Price very reasonable for good quality food. Would definitely pay a second visit if in Manchester again

Booked at the last minute for a quick pre-concert meal. The Bridgewater Hall is seconds away and they do a two course special. It's very Italian and very good value. The place to eat if you're out for a cultural evening.

These guys have everything off to a fine art. Great food , great price, good choice and speedy friendly service, well managed, to get you to your show in good time. You really do need to book. But it is well worth it!

We were going to Bridgewater Hall and decided to park early and have some dinner before the show. We had no idea what restaurants where nearby but found Gio's a 2 minute walk away. It looked extremely busy from outside and we nearly just walked by. However we went inside and the very friendly waiter seated us in less than... More

When we eat out anywhere we hope the chosen restaurant will live up to our expectations which sadly is not always the case irrespective how much the bill will be. We love this restaurant so much this last visit was our fourth occasion because of its central location, opposite St Peter's Square & opposite the Midland Crown Hotel, & very... More

We just wandered into this restaurant with no booking hoping to get something to eat before a concert at Bridgewater Hall. Table straight away, served straight away and asked if we were going to the concert. We were warned that we might not be out in time but went ahead and ordered anyway! The food was lovely, service super efficient... More
