We stopped into the Red Lion for dinner on our only night in Chipping Campden, and were happy with the service and food we had. We stuck with pub grub favorites: sausage and mash for me, and beef pie for her, washed down with a...More

We went here for an evening meal and was quite disappointed the staff were not that welcoming and it was average pub food not even great pub food, we wouldn't go back.

We enjoyed our meal at the red lion inn. It was convenient to us, being across the road from where we were staying. We ate inside, and it has a small dining area with a charming atmosphere. You can also sit outside in the lovely...More

We had dinner last night - simple but delicious burgers and incredible chips, Guinness on tap. Can't be beat. The bun and burger fixings were so good, and it was a beautiful sunny late afternoon to sit outside. Plenty of seating.

Enjoyed a meal here which was fine for our needs. I thought the interior and exterior were a bit scruffy but food fine.

The lady who served was nice enough, but the food took quite a while to come and was pretty bland when it did. Average at best! May be better if you had a different dish, but ours was pretty tasteless :(

Fish and chips were generous in size and tasty. Lamb was delicious. Typical pub decor but the serving staff made this restaurant one not to miss. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful with activity suggestions. We were made to feel right at home. We tried...More

The quality of the food here is very good. My companion had steak and ale pie, from all accounts exceptionally good. My meal included whitebait, perfectly cooked, fresh and piping hot. Good value, and an acceptable level of service.

We called in here for lunch and went straight out the back to get a table in the garden area. There was a whole group of young ladies dressed in 1940-1950 clothing and enjoying a hen do which also included a bike ride. We went...More

I had the beef and ale pie and it was delicious! Really hit the spot although way too big for me to finish. Service was friendly and attentive. Lovely old pub.
