I have been visiting the lalbagh for nearly 20yrs and never been disappointed until last night. The mains and the breads were superb as always but the kebab starters were very poor quality and noy at all value for money. Come on guys samosas and...over cooked bhajis are just not kebabs.More

I’ve been going to the lalbagh for multiple years now and I’ve never had a problem there food is the best I’ve ever had and the staff are nice especially the one on the phone and desk. I also have a Saver nut allergy so...I must be weary when buying and eating curry. When placing my order I always say but free and they are fine with that and I’ve never had a problem and most importantly I feel safe when ordering and eating.More

We probably get a takeaway from here every month or so. The starters are always delicious but the curries could be improved. There just isn’t enough flavour. On our last visit however we found the prices had changed. Not just 20p, 50p.... but £2 or...£3 on some curries. The prices are now on a par, if not above restaurant prices. Almost £12 for a prawn tikka masala! I have noticed the price increase coincided with them now closing on Tuesdays. Clearly we are paying more now to enable them to close tuesdays!!More

I can honestly say that this place is something Penwortham should be proud of. The main man is superb, coffee on arrival, food is top of its class and like eating from a high end Indian Restaurant every single time. I have been visiting since...this place opened and it has never failed. A family favourite and something we look forward to when in the mood for a curry. Keep up the excellent work all.More

The lamb was overcooked the rice was undercooked the roti was overcooked. The chicken was tender. You charge a premium for gourmet food but tonight we didn't get the gourmet food. Come on guys your reputation is everything.

Just had a takeaway from the Lalbagh for the first time in a few months, really fancied a curry this evening. Ordered a Chicken Tikka Palaka, something I'd never had before. Twenty minutes I was told, twenty minutes later i was on my way home...with it. There was such a lot on my plate o thought I'd leave some for later, no chance, it was so good I finished it all. Whilst I quite often review a place I actually rang them to let them know how much I enjoyed my meal.More

Had not tried the lalbach before but decided to give it a go. I orders prawn Bhuna and my partner had lamb korma. My partner enjoyed his lamb korma and said it was delicious but I found my prawn bhuna tasteless. There was no spices...in it at all, it was literally mainly onions and very bland.
