Haven't been here in nearly 15 years. Nothing has changed...which is great. Great food. Good service. Good old school Indian restaurant where you get good grub

An old friend popped in to say hello and we always go for an Indian.....tried many over the years and have two or three a month. Been before with the family, so took my mate........Had not booked, but this was not an issue, sit in the bar have a beer, nibble on the free Bombay mix and soak up the... More

My family turned up on our way home. The service was great. They were very attentive. Felt almost like home. They brought us more than we ordered. Thankyou. However the decor was very old and hadn't been updated in a very long time. My children are not used to spicy food and it was too spicy for them unfortunately. I... More

Our pre theatre visit here on a Saturday evening was a great success. We were fairly tight for time, but needn't have worried, despite the fact that the restaurant was quite busy. Drinks came quickly, food order was taken promptly by friendly staff. 15 minutes later we were ploughing our way through some very good food. All in all a... More

Last evening we were celebrating our sons birthday and there was a Hugh wait on home delivery which forced us to cancel our order. It is Sunday evening and we have just had a visit from the rajshahi to personally apologise for last night event's, they genuinely felt so bad about not meeting their service standards. We were given vouchers... More

After looking forward to a meal all day, have been let down big time by the Rajshahi restaurant. Have been using this restaurant for years until tonight. A celebratory birthday meal with family and one guest came up from Bristol by train especially for the meal and to see his brother. Ordered at 6:20 and at 8:10 had to ring... More

This is a great restaurant and it is obvious that this is a firm favourite with the locals. A great atmosphere and great food! Infact the Rajshahi served some of the best Indian food I have ever eaten. The staff were absolutely first class and despite a packed restaurant and handling huge numbers of take-away orders throughout the evening, the... More

Six of us served, orders taken which was quite complex. All arrived together, hot and nicely presented. Food was excellent and the drink prices were reasonable for this type of place. Quite busy with diners as well as a brisk takeaway trade. Seating was a little cramped and chilly because of the constantly opening main door. Staff happy and friendly... More

Description
1st class Indian restaurant serving beautifully cooked Bengali & Balti cuisine. We started our meal with totally frash poppadums with an exceptional selection of dips pickles & chutneys. We enjoyed a range of starters including Onion Bhajee sheek kebab and shaslickl special. Excellent main courses included a memorable Lamb Passanda - rice and breads were 1st class. everything was served piping hot by pleasnt and caring staff in clean comfortable surroundings - just one complaint and that was the coffee could have been a better quality otherwise highly recommended by an ex hotels and restaurant inspector
