We had two courses from the daytime set menu, a treat for a birthday. I had bruschetta which was so tasty and chock full of lovely tomatoes, olives, rocket, and drizzled with a lovely balsamic. My OH had soup which he said was very good. For mains we had the roasted veggie pasta and butchers sausage with mash and veg.... More

We had a great family lunch here. Our waiter Aaron was friendly and attentive even though it was busy and we had a great laugh too! The food was delicious (I couldn't resist 3 courses!) and it was served piping hot and fresh. The selection of gin and tonic is unparalleled for a country pub - I particularly recommend the... More

Food okay, perhaps a wider more interesting choice than some places but it wasn't anything special. Had the calves liver but it was over-done. Burgers were large but apparently somewhat dry. Desserts interesting choice but the fruit crumble was devoid of crumble. Environment pleasant enough but a little cramped. Staff pleasant and reasonably attentive.

We visited today, for the first time, for lunch. There were four adults in our party and one small child. All the meals were excellent- the chicken wrapped in Parma ham and stuffed with cheese was succulent and very tasty- it was served with a very well cooked selction of vegetables. Others in the party had steak which was tender,... More

Visited the Cross Keys on Easter Sunday, had a very pleasant walk from the centre of Milton Keynes to reach it. Food was great and the service was exceptional. Well worth the walk!

Visited last week and was served by a lady who I think was the manager. The food was cooked and presented beautifully and the friendly service was second to none. An extremely busy restaurant but the lady was efficient, friendly and nothing too much trouble even though you could see she was rushed off her feet. Expect to wait a... More
