Delicious take away tonight. Piping hot, well spiced, and large portions, packed with tender meat - we opted for lamb and chicken - and well seasoned rice and dhal. Complimentary poppadoms is a nice touch. Worth every penny, great value. Hope to visit the restaurant...when the restrictions lift. Thank you to the chef and staff at Aroma.More

Thank you so much for fulfilling our request to make our takeaway last night plastic-free. You went out of your way to find an alternative, including utilising our own little pots for sauces and condiments. We will recommend you to our community of plastic-free campions!...The food was delicious, a real treat. We were also impressed with your customer service and the friendly treatment the delivery guys received from you which we observed when we picked up our takeaway from the restaurant.More

First visit to Gloucester, this Indian restaurant was absolutely superb. The staff were so helpful and welcoming. The menu was limited, which was excellent. Our choice was so delicious...the food was fresh, tasty & delicious. The pickle tray, amazing.....our mistake ordering the wrong wine, was...sorted..a big thanks for this...would recommend this restaurant 100% 😄😄😄😄😄😄More

Had my 1st (and last ) takeaway from this restaurant due to being in area and reading the good reviews. Usually have couple of takeaways a week from different Indians every week so knowing that curry’s can be different I stuck to the common lamb...biryani which is generally the same wherever you go, I was so wrong! Hardly any meat, and more importantly the normal vegetable curry sauce had NO vegetables whatsoever! Just a pour over plain sauce which strangely enough was also about madras heat strength! I worked all over uk and abroad and eaten hundreds of biryanis and this was nothing like a biryani! Huge disappointment and at £10 for biryani takeaway lots more cheaper tastier versions in gloucester!More

We were staying at the Premier Inn on the Quays and fancied something with a bit of spice. All the usual restaurants - TGIs, Pizza Express, Nandos etc but found this place a little further into the town. Believe it was Goan that I'd never...tried before but was absolutely delicious.More

We turned up at approximately 8pm on a Saturday night so knew it would be busy. However, after taking our details, we were given a table. We have been to hundreds of Indian restaurants in our time and unfortunately the décor in this restaurant, really...was not authentic at all. We could have been in any restaurant. That said, the staff were really friendly. It would have been rated higher had the dish I had chosen, been able to be lamb and not chicken, as in other Indian restaurants. The food itself was nice and could tell was homemade, just not my favourite meal I have had. The food was cooked well and the prices were fair though. My husband enjoyed it more than I did, but the whole experience, was just a 3.More

With all the current procedures in place, the staff were with us immediately as we entered to check our booking, not in an intrusive way but very welcoming. Taken to our table and given the menus it was really difficult to decide what to have....What amazed me was how polite the staff were with even the most obnoxious customers and there were a few. The food is amazing, the flavours bursting through in waves. This place is a must visitMore

The tone was set by our very friendly and helpful waiter as soon as we walked in. Sensible covid measures were taken and did not impinge on our evening. Food was outstanding and excellent value. We'll worth visiting this restaurant for a great selection of...classic Indian dishes as well as some less familiar. Go to Aroma!More

We visited after a lack of choice for restaurants open on a Sunday evening. We used the hand sanitiser and entered contact details as soon as we walked in. No data protection here as I could see the other customers contact details on the same...page. What’s the point of using the hand sanitizer Then writing the contact details for track and trace with the same pen every uses? The waiter was not wearing uniform or even wearing smart clothes so felt out of place and not professional. Our drinks order was taken quickly, menu explained well but as a one man band he was quite rushing the talk. The king prawn starter was very nice, the recommended chicken dish with 18 spices was ok, the daal just not as flavoursome and the korma sauce had too much sugar in. The kulfi dessert was delicious. The waiter was too busy sitting at a desk with paperwork and then flipping to working just felt like half office half restaurant. £50 for 2 people not bad. Very stingy on chutneys with poppadoms and no exit greeting.More
