We called into the Little Cottage Cafe before we went for a walk on Rosses Point beach. The place is very small and very popular so we had a wait of 15 minutes to get a table. The staff are really friendly. They gave us menus to peruse while we sat at one of the tables outside. We got seats and I had the 'Warm Goats cheese' which comes under the 'cottage plates' section of the menu. My fiance had a late breakfast so he had rocky road cake with a coffee. My dish was beautiful. The toasted pecans added a lovely crunch to the soft goats cheese. Highly recommend this place - definitely a dish to suit everyone on their menu.

Just had an overnight stay at Rosses Point, we stopped of at The Little Cottage for some lunch and after having the tasty goats cheese with homemade garlic pesto, carmelised onions and greens I had to go back for more before we left. Friendly and helpful staff. Well organised with an outside takeaway coffee / dessert pod to side. We will be back!! 👍

Fantastic service in this little cafe was exactly what we needed. We got the CCP toastie and spiced beef sandwiches and they were very tasty. The bread was so fluffy and fresh. The coffee was also delicious and it was all topped off by being very well priced for the high quality of food that we got. Would highly recommend anyone to stop by this little place

Called at the little cottage cafe for a take away lunch. 2 sausage rolls were 5 Euro, very small sausage rolls with no seasoning or flavour. My pal got a Chicken cheese pesto, CCP toasted sandwich costs 5:50 Euro, he said couldn't taste any Pesto and no seasoning, no real flavour. Luckily we found good value from 2 or 3 different establishments in the same area.

We visited as a family after a walk on the local beach. The cafe was clean and the menu was varied and looked lovely.
On arrival, COVID certificates were checked and we were told we would have to sit on different tables as we were too big a group. This was fine. Tables were being cleaned between guests. Toilets were clean.
We asked for details of the cakes and were given a description of what was available. One given option was a white chocolate and raspberry blonde, which was ordered by one of the party. We ordered hot drinks and cakes all around. When the blondie arrived it turned out to be a raspberry, almond and coconut bakewell type cake. When queried, the waitress insisted that it was a blondie and pointed out a chunk of white chocolate. Half way through the time, we were offered a replacement. We didn’t have time to avail of the offer. We were still charged for the cake.

I went for the goats cheese, caramelised onion and rocket pesto bruschetta and it was out of this word! Huge portion and so so tasty the sourdough was amazing and love how it is locally sourced in le fournil! I got it to takeaway with a coconut latte and sat at the beach... amazing location.
The service was so quick and everything was served with a big smiles!
Can’t wait to return with friends ☺️

Arrived in the early morning after a sea swim, greeted by professional and friendly young staff. Ordered a flat white and the breakfast bap, coffee was excellent and the breakfast bap made fresh in house. Worth every penny!
The cottage has implemented adequate social distancing measures from what I experienced too.

Stopped here mid afternoon and they were still serving their lunch menu. The cafe is quiet small inside, it was a wet day and we were fortunate to get a table. There are more tables outside which would be great if the weather was fine.
The staff were very welcoming and friendly and service was great. The soup of the day was delicious packed full of flavour and the toasted sandwiches were well filled. It is great to be able to get fresh sandwiches made to order .
The coffee was great . Will definitely return

Advertised vegan friendly so drove out of the way to go. No vegan options on menu except for plain porridge. Asked if I could get the veggie breakfast without the eggs & couldn’t as everything had milk in it. Ended up with roast vegetables and feta without the feta. Just cold roast peppers on bread with hummus and lettuce leaves. Still ended up paying more than everyone else who ordered sausages, eggs & hash browns.

Absolutely beautiful.
I had a ham & cheese toastie that was just delicious- lovely white bloomer bread & ham was gorgeous.
I had a brownie for desert & I reckon it is the best brownie I have ever eaten. It was delicious.

OMG… this place is just heavenly. Have visited now about a dozen times and it is consistently good. The granola, the scones, the yoghurt cakes, the chicken and pesto sandwich and the strange combination veg soups are all just deliciousness served to you. Definitely go here if you are in the area.

Stopped by here on Friday as were recommended to pop in for brunch , lunch ,coffee. Got to the front door and a lady came out Took a look and asked what we were looking to order. I replied Coffee as taken back at her manner, she told us to go around back and order take away coffees from van out back. Never offered a table inside.
Felt very judged. We were looking to sit down and enjoy the grub.
We order lovely cappuccinos from van .My husband gave a tip for the girl making coffees and then we went and sat by the sea at Rosses Point.

We had been recommended to try by one of the locals at the start of our stay at Rosses Point and we are so pleased we did! What a lovely, friendly cafe and the breakfast we had was really tasty; shared a bacon sandwich which was well cooked on the freshest bread, followed by the granola bowl - one of the freshest, tastiest breakfasts we’ve had for a long time. The coffee was good and the cakes looked amazing and we bought sausage rolls to take out too. We will definitely be returning before we leave the area.

Great soup & sandwiches. The sandwiches were outstanding (we had a toasted ham & cheese, cottage toastie, and spicy beef). Each sandwich had a unique condiments that added just the right amount of acid/brightness to make them exceptional! The soup (parsnip&fennel) was rich and hearty. The staff was kind and friendly!

Dropped in while visiting the area. Had intended to walk along the sea shore but the weather put an end to that! This was a far better option!!
The staff were very welcoming. The restaurant was cozy with a nice wood burning stove going full blast on a cold day! The menu offered some good choices. We settled for the tea and scones. Very enjoyable.
A must visit if you are in this area!
