Sells real black pudding (made with blood), excellent meat and a variety of cheese including Carrowholly made locally. As most of Westport becomes a Theme Park this is one of the few real shops left.

First off, my wife loved it. My kid didn't appreciate the mayo (I think) in the grilled cheese. The vegetable soup was cream-based, which I, unfortunately, can't do. Iceberg lettuce salad, and such. It isn't for those with "Foodie" ambitions for every meal, but I...More

Had a lovely afternoon tea here with huge slices of homemade cake. Two separate rooms better sitting in the room where you are served as the other room is across the hallway in the art gallery and not as much going on in there.

We popped in to McCormacks late in the afternoon with the hope that they still had scones but they were sold out. We decided to have a late lunch. Service left much to be desired. Despite us standing there at the counter waiting to order,...More

Recommended in the guide. Poor food and unfriendly service - in fact the only unfriendly service over a whole week touring all around Ireland. Thought the paintings might be nice but amateurish daubs. Would not bother again.

Had lunch here when on my trip Westport. Delicious pasta and stew. It was very busy and rushed when we were there but the food was so nice that I would probably come back for more.

Located upstairs off the Main Street over a family butcher shop. The decor is very 'olde world' with oilcloths on the tables; reminds me of my mothers kitchen as a child! The menu is extensive and food is prepared to order. The fresh fruit scone...More
