We visited the restaurant for my husband's 30th birthday and while the food was absolutely faultless the service was a bit on the slow side. The servers were fantastic however it took 2 courses before I received my drink and we did have to wait a while in between courses. Regardless of this I would highly recommend it!

Ate here while staying in Knockranny recently and we were very impressed! The restaurant has beautiful views of Croagh Patrick and the sea. Unfortunately the tables near the windows were already occupied when we arrived on a busy Monday night. The food was lovely with a nice selection on the menu. The goat's cheese starter which I had was just... More

I ate here in 2012, I liked the food then... I returned in 2017 and I LOVED the food. I feel the menu was a lot more accessible this time.

From delicious dishes to divine wines all in a pleasant atmosphere. The waiter was helpful in selecting a tasty wine for our meal and we enjoyed every dish. I would certainly suggest you pay them a visit.

We had a two course meal, my wife had local produced lamb and I had quail for mains and we both were very pleased. We would recommend this restaurant.

Food was delicious - had sea bass one night and young Irish chicken the next. My only comment would be that some of the chairs were a bit worn.

La Fougere is a multiple award-winning restaurant, perched on the hill side overlooking Clew Bay & Croagh Patrick. Seamus Commons, one of Ireland’s most respected chefs, heads up the team at this Westport restaurant and the food is impeccable; with fresh fish, caught and landed daily, locally reared beef and lamb with fruit & vegetables grown in Knockranny’s gardens. Eating at La Fougere is all about relaxed fine dining, great food chosen from local producers and an interesting wine list – in great company.

It’s a fantastic place to gather, open a bottle of wine, take in the breath-taking views and choose something from the delicious menu.
