This is a local establishment, close to the Castlebar TownCcentre where there are many shops. Tolsters is also close to the Historic Mall, it's central location lends itself to excellent value in dining with on street parking available. Excellent host is our Gerry Tolster who...serves food daily with the personal touch. Excellent food & great value.More
Good atmosphere and prices. Good pint of Heineken. Very friendly helpful staff. Plenty of tvs for sports fans and a dart board available.. Toilets were clean.
An excellent pub for watch a match, enjoy a good pint and eat a good food. The staff is really friendly like everybody from Mayo!
Had lunch here a few timed and it was above avarge. The owner seems to be on hand keeping a close eye on everything and he is a brilliant barman.
At Tolsters you get real food real homely food and they make you feel wanted. You will always get a table which is great at lunch
A hidden gem. I eat here regularly and while not high brow the food is excellent and the welcome second to norm. This is a real locals pub serving good food and plenty of it. The waiting is undertaken by Fidelma and she is one...of the nicest and most competent waitress around. Nothing is too much trouble. After campaigning by the locals a new coffee machine was purchased and this has greatly increased the quality of the coffee. Tea is tea. To summarise go thereMore
Went to this bar on a Saturday evening had a good time made very welcome by all the Staff. Nothing was too much trouble they made us half the black stuff and half Smethwick very good.
very pleasant friendly staff quite location near the courthouse good place to chill not far from the green a place to consolidate
Stumbled upon this gem last month while down west. Guinness was fantastic and value was second to none. Vodka white and pint guinness for €7.70!
Been in a few times to watch games and Jerry is always a good host. Great place to watch a game and the Guinness is always good. Jerry runs a good pub and makes sure all feel welcome. When we were last there for the...Scotland game he organised finger food for all customers at half time. Worth a visit if you are in Castlebar.More
Very disappointed after reading such good reviews!! The bar was very cold and it looks like they don't like turning the lights on !! No food in the evenings!! Bad bad
I didn't eat here just had a few pints here and the Guinness is lovely and good atmosphere. Good place to match a match.
That was my first time in Castlebar and I would happily go back just for a pint of Guinness in Tolsters. It has all you expect from a traditional Irish bar, with a very warm welcome from the owner, Gerry. Can't find a friendlier person...in town and he does know ho to pour the perfect pint. Felt like a regular.More
Popped in for a pint and ended up spending the entire afternoon. Jerry the owner was so welcoming, and made every effort to ensure our time in his pub was as good as he could possibly make it!
