We had lunch and a couple of pints here. Fairly large inside for bigger groups, if you have a large group. We had fish and chips and they were good. The service was friendly and prompt. Nice spot to relax. Both locals and tourist. Clean place. I would return.

This is a pricey place to eat with a mostly set menu of old reliables that will do if you can't get in anywhere else but is very much a fall back option in my book, rather than a first choice.

My wife and I visited Blakes BAr today for Sunday lunch. Great venue with a warm traditional feel. We were quickly ushered in out of the cold and seated - drinks and menus arrived promptly with a smile. Excellent choices on menu - I chose the slow roasted lamb shoulder and my wife chose salmon. The lamb was melting soft... More

I enjoyed a love glass of wine and cheese board yesterday afternoon in Blakes. The staff were friendly and there was a lovely atmosphere in the bar. The cheese board offered 4 different cheeses and sweet crackers. I will look forward to a return visit in the new year.
