Loud band, great food, great service and great value. Visited again next night for some cocktails and a different band. Great atmosphere, waiters quick to serve and plenty of chat. Will definitely return again.

Have had some drinks in Buskers several times - good music is common within. Went for food with my workplace a few weeks ago, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the meal. I had a smoked salmon salad which had beautiful fish and ample brown bread on the side. Other workmates agreed on the quality being of a... More

Popped in for a drink. Large enough place, but style was not to our liking. Seemed very family and child friendly. Lots of mothers with prams. Not like your normal bars. Food seems to be the main attraction here. Atmosphere okish, but not really what we were looking for at the time.

We stopped in to Busker Brownes on a rainy Monday night. The place was jammed and the band was jumping. Great Jazz with good vocals, and of course copious amounts of Guinness and Whiskey. We were back a couple of weeks later - different vocalist, but the same great jazz. If you are in Galway on a Monday, don't miss... More

We had dinner in the new Gin Bar section. Service was excellent and atmosphere was warm and cozy. Irish Stew was great. The beef in the stew was very tender and tasty. Beef lasagna was also very good.

The food was delicious! The service fantastic. To avoid crowds go early for supper as it starts to get very crowded in the evening. The "mess" dessert was different and so yummy!

We only had one day in Galway, and had a list of about ten places to visit for food. Yet after having a delicious lunch we came back for dinner! Lunch consisted of sandwiches and soup; both were delicious and as soon as we finished them, we wanted more. The waitress told us about the music that would start at... More

If your your looking for a kid friendly place to eat in town then this is the place to go. The staff are lovely, and there is plenty of space for buggies. The menu is nice and have nice specials daily. It's not too expensive either. The changing facilities for babies and toddlers is always clean too!

Description
Busker Brownes Bar & Kirbys Restaurant is set in the heart of Galway City’s vibrant & chique Latin Quarter. Throughout history Busker Brownes has been a meeting place for the Tribes of Galway, a soldiers barracks, a Dominican convent and a rendezvous for Galway Society. It is therefore no surprise that to this day that tradition of hospitality continues in panache.
