My wife and I ate here and enjoyed out meal. I wasn't really feeling well so we made it quick but I would have liked to have tried some of their wines/mixed drinks. My wife had the steak and I had the Monkfish, food was well prepared and had a nice presentation.

Don't worry if you're not convinced this is Galway's best restaurant because it certainly isn't. Plenty of others come out on top when compared to the furiously hyped Kai. Those who're more interested in the quality of the food than the achingly hip self esteem they specialize in, would be wise to give this one a miss. If you want... More

I've had lunch & dinner in Kai before which were fantastic but their Sunday Brunch blew me out of the water. Brunch is served 12-3 on a Sunday and they dont take reservations so make sure you are in the queue before it opens to make sure you get a spot in the best place for brunch in Galway. The... More

If you haven't been, get yourself down to Kai at the nearest opportunity. A scrumptious, novel and exciting menu, cooked to perfection and served by smiley, helpful and very busy staff. We've been here several times and it's consistently good. In a nutshell: lovely staff, yummy scrummy food, local, seasonal ingredients and not overly pricey. I'll certainly be back!

I am fortunate enough to travel to Galway on a regular basis. Kai offers the best food in the city. Stay are warm and attentive, the food is regional, and inventive on a traditional theme. Tonight was the best food that I have eaten for a long while.

This is our favourite place to eat in Galway. It is always a lovely yummy surprise what is going to be on the menu. Staff are always really pleasant. Love the decor and the atmosphere.

Very nice meal nice athmosphere and intimate . menu was good with some unusual variotions on garnishes for dishes as steak venison . service was casually attentive . wine was too pricey for the quality of the wine and i have to say white wines should be properly chilled which they were not . food tasty awith odd garnishes i... On the base of recommendation from TripAdvisor we visited the restaurant and it was the best what we could do. For me, one of the most spectacular restaurant, which I visited in Europe and US. Staff was fantastic, asked about our national country, about trip in Ireland. We could not see nervous behavior of them, although the place was really... More

Kai has some fantastic food and I've visited with my family on many occasions - dinner, lunch and Breakfast on Sundays. It is very popular and has a very small entrance area so do be patient with potential crush. I could not fault the menu. Main problem is some rude staff which can spoil things. There is a decidedly arrogant... More

I went here with 2 friends for brunch and we truly enjoyed this place a lot. You can't book although we didn't have to wait to long for a table approx 15 mins cause there was 3 of us, but it would defiantly be worth the wait. The service was excellent and very informative and friendly. This is a very... More
