Been quite a few times. Invariably high quality food and good service. Can get busy so consider booking. Far superior food to the usual high street Indian restaurants

We went on a busy Friday night and were treated to absolutely delicious food and great service. The dumplings starter is just amazing. The butter chicken and the Nepalese curry were excellent, so was the nan bread and the pillar rice. Service was friendly and efficient.

Service was slow and STAY AWAY from the house rose. Otherwise, maybe my best meal in Ireland. Was there for work and after a week of amazing Irish food- Fish and Chips, Seafood Pie, Guiness Stew, Bangers and Mash, my culinary tastebuds needed a pick me up. Saw this place on the edge of Temple Bar. So wasn't expecting much.... More

Too often have I - have we all - sampled the dubious delights of "Indian" restaurants in the Isles to the West of Europe that consist of homogeneous brown sludge with token pieces of gristle posing as meat in their murky midst. This is not such a place. Here each dish is quite distinct from the next and all are... More

Visited again on Friday. We made a booking earlier in the week but when we arrived they tried to give us a table facing the door which was cold so we asked to be moved. They also told us they needed the table back in a little over an hour and a half. If there is a time limit, they... More

Had a beautiful meal here. The menu is varied and is reasonably priced. The atmosphere and decor are excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had starters and mains. Unfortunately we didn't have dessert as we were so full. There's a great selection of wine too. It is probably one of the best meals we've had. Highly recommend... More

No other way to describe the experience. I went with three others who dine frequently here, they knew the menu and offered suggestions. The food was incredible, my first time trying Nepalese food, I'm hooked! One thing that surprised me was the comprehensive wine list! Overall at perfect "10". Great food, wine, service and atmosphere. Add to your "must try... More

Description
Montys of Kathmandu, a multi-award winning Nepalese Restaurant in the heart of Dublin's Cultural quarter and now more recently, in the leafy suburbs of Rathgar. Montys is the first Nepalese Restaurant ever to open in Ireland specialising in the beautiful food from the Himalayan Kingdom. We make everything inhouse and do nor use any artificial additives to enhance the flavours of our food. All our chefs are natives of Nepal and it is owned by Nepalis too. We pride ourselves on giving you the customers the authentic experience, with out taking any short cuts. We source all our ingredients, where possibly locally and use the best possible available to us.
