This was the nicest meal I've had all year. The steak was absolutely amazing and it was 'only' a flat iron steak from the pre theatre menu. All 3 of us had steak but we ordered different sauces and sides and shared them out among us. I'll definitely be back.

I selected here as it close to my hotel and late in the evening. My overall experience was one of prompt efficiency, admirable indeed and cannot be faulted. I guess what was lacking was a warmth of welcome, a feeling that as a guest I was to be cared for, looked after. This was missing, add this to the mix... More

The headline says the most important thing. I had a simple piece of grilled steak and I have never had better. That alone would be a reason to visit. But I was also very impressed by every other aspect of the experience, not least the charming, knowledgeable and friendly maître d', the wonderful Chateau Musar wine, and the fantastic beetroot-infused... This is a really nice Irish Pub which serves a variety of Irish food and Irish Beer as well as most types of beverages. We enjoyed an evening there while in Dublin

I recently visited Bull and Castle with my wife whilst we were in Dublin for the weekend. It was recommended by a friend and I will be definitely be recommending it to others. The steak was the best I have ever tasted and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

As implied we enjoyed our meal, although, probably due to not booking earlier, our table was in a rather cramped location, also if you want quiet surroundings this is not for you. Service was very good, and price reasonable for a city centre location

I have eaten here a couple times when visiting Dublin. Great service and quality of food. The staff is at the top of their game and the gentlemen working the front of the house does a great job. You get your money's worth and the location couldn't be better. The restaurant has a really good selection of beers and whiskeys.... More

We visited the Bull and Castle on 26/11/2016 and experienced poor customer service from a barman upstairs. He was unfriendly and rude shouting from the back of the bar in the most unfriendly tone that he couldn't hear what I was saying. If he walked to the bar instead of standing beside the till he would of heard me perfectly.... More

Does what it claims to do very well - i.e. excellent steaks and a really good craft ale selection. The fringes were tinged with afterthought though - for a €35 steak, I would have expected better chips and the mash was a bit grainy. Service excellent throughout.
