Booked a table two hours before dinner time on Friday nights. The restaurant was very packed but we got a nice table downstairs. We ordered quite a few dishes for three of us. Except Sushi combo had small portion and nothing is special. The rest of dishes are good. We love crispy duck with pancake most. During the dinner time,... More

Again fall for really bad food. Ordered take away through Deliveroo. Never again. No way near proper Chinese food. Folks be careful. Waste a money and our evening

It was a real good surprise and delicious moment. The chef is really funny open minded and talented. You have to ask teppanyaki absolutely!

Craving for beef curry chinese style & my first time to order in Chai Yo The chinese lady who took my order was very pleasant. Curry is great, i just wish the beef is a bit more tender that's all. But overall, i'm happy with it & will order again in the future as they also offer a delivery service... More

Myself and 7 of my girl friends went to Chai Yo on a Wednesday night for some food. To say we had an absolute laugh would be an understatement. Our server Joey was very funny and knew how to work a crowd, he had each of us interacting with him, flipping food for him, he also made it his business... More

Thought I had booked for a regular set meal in the restaurant, however when we arrived we were seated at the teppanyaki station. Only €10 per person more (shrewd move by the staff).Still, it was my birthday so we went with it. The food was very nice and good flavours. Watching it being cooked was a fun experience and the... This has got to be one of my favourite restaurants in the city and one of the best for large groups. It has an upstairs teppenyaki area and a normal restaurant service downstairs - I can't comment on the restaurant downstairs as I have never eaten there but I can say the teppenyaki upstairs is excellent. The chefs are very... More

Really love this place. You can have a regular table like we got or you can get a table where the chef comes out and cooks in front of you which looks really cool. Food is really tasty and staff are very friendly and kind. They surprise the tables with some music at the end of your meal. Unique idea... More

We had a party of 10 in for a birthday party and we got the Teppanyaki experience, the food was fantastic and the entertainment and they provided was great fun. The food itself was lovely and they had a tasty selection of meat and fish.

Description
Chai yo is split into two sections, upstairs we have three teppanyaki (hibachi) tables where the chef entertains and cooks in front of you. Down stairs we have the more conventional restaurant sitting. We serve a variety of asian cuisines such as teppanyaki, sushi, thai curries and chinese food. We love to cater for large groups at the teppanyaki tables where we can accomodate up to 40 ppl on the three tables. Dont forget every night we have singers and a guitarist to help you celebrate that perfect night.
