I can't fault the service, wine selection or food, fillet mignon is the same year after year, side dishes are fantastic, deserts you must leave room for, dark chocAlate fondant worth a 10 min wait

My third trip to Shanahans. I never cease to be amazed at how busy it is. You'd think all the years of the same old same old ohigh priced steaks and overpriced wine (that's some mark up ye apply lads!) would have taken its toll but to be fair the place was still jammed on a Thursday at 7pm. Service... More

It's always on my list of restaurants when I visit Dublin. Whether it be upstairs in the main dining room, elegant, or downstairs, a bit more casual. Either way, you can't go wrong...The staff are wonderful and friendly, and it's always a pleasure to see the Manager, Martin Clegg, who makes everything run sooooo smooth.!!

We waited about 40 minuets for a table and if like us you haven't booked it's so worth the wait !! Truly a first-class restaurant. Impeccable service. lovely comfortable décor. Food is 5-star -- amazing steaks, We had the 12oz Filet Mignon that was cooked to perfection and with so much flavour in every bite. Don't miss out!!!!!!

After eating in some of Dublin's greatest restaurants I had high hopes. We came for the early bird and the service was great. The food was good but wasn't anything special. It disappointed me a little as I took my parents here for their birthday. In saying that...will I go back.. yeah I probably will but not rushing back I... More

The Friday lunch at 50 euro per head is terrific value and incredibly tasty. The steaks are delicious as are the tobacco onions. Staff are attentive and extremely polite and helpful.

Visited here by accident in search for a quick pre-theatre bite to eat. Looking up Trip advisor and not looking at menu we rocked up in usual tourist attire looking for the advertised American steakhouse. As soon as we stepped through the door we had an idea we had made a mistake and that it wasn't the sort of steakhouse... More

My husband and I visited Shanahans again last Friday night, we have been many times and I would say it is the only restaurant in Dublin that consistently gets it right, every time. There is no better steak in Dublin, all of the food was sumptuous. The service was top class, perfection. The dining room is beautiful, elegant and perfectly... More

Simply put, the best steak you can eat in Ireland. A little on the expensive side, but for a special occasion this place is a must visit.

We dined here for the first time last weekend. We asked the hotel concierge to recommend a good steak restaurant in Dublin and he highly recommended this one. As soon as you enter the place, you can feel the class and sophistication that it simply oozes. It is reminiscent of one of the fabulous steak restaurants that line the streets... More

American Style Steakhouse and Seafood Restaurant featuring Certified Irish Angus beef and the freshest seafood and produce from Ireland's local bounty.

Shanahan's ethos is simple and sophisticated. Your experience begins upon arrival. Enjoy an aperitif in the Oval Office bar. Take a moment to inspect the impressive collection of memorabilia adorning the walls. Each item commemorates the U.S. Presidents with an Irish connection or ancestry. Marvel at the bar's centrepiece, JFK's rocking chair from Air Force One.

Dining in Shanahan's is a delight. The elegance of the food and service, is maintained in perfect harmony with the warmth, which personifies the Shanahan's team.
