i had a good experience with colleagues there. downstairs there is an typical irish bar with an good rustic atmosphere. upstairs is a quiet lovely and small room where you have a family feeling. The service is friendly and the dishes and taste was better than the fx Buckley Bullhouse downtown.

Just been here last night for the second time. Steaks as well as the sides were phenomenal! But I wish they would have a better beer selection to match up with the great steaks.

We ate in the small steak house upstairs above the pub. Food was excellent with a wide steak menu. Staff were very pleasant. The restaurant is small so probably worth a reservation. We look forward to returning now our daughter lives nearby

Small not suitable for large party . Staff pleasant .Steaks were pricey and only included a potato side . Waitress did not suggest a side would be required . Steaks (starting at 28.95)arrived no garnish sitting in middle of plate with sauce to the side . Very disappointing presentation. Steak was tender and cooked to order . Arrived at 7.15pm... More

We ended up in this FX because the one on Crow St was all booked up. They were kind enough to call and help us with a table here. The service is great and very friendly. The wine selection is decent - in line with the food and not too expensive. Steaks are great here and cooked to perfection. Would... More

Ate here on a Friday night, was busy and we were lucky to get a reservation. Food was excellent, special mention for the black pudding croquette and the scallop starter. Steaks superb. Bit on the expensive side but worth it for such a good meal. The restaurant itself is small, tables quite close together, quite noisy - doesn't have as... More

Arrived without a reservation and was accommodated (with a time limit as there was a reservation pending). We were early enough to enjoy the early dining offer, which is very good value. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was totally delicious. A must to visit if you're in the area. We visited the bar later on in the... More

My husband is still talking about the wings that he had & wishes that he could get some in America! The place was absolutely lovely & the staff was very friendly. If you're in the area I highly suggest popping in for a bite. Enjoy!

Description
Ryan’s of Parkgate Street has been a landmark Victorian public house in Dublin since 1886 located at the front gate of the Phoenix Park. It has had many famous patrons thorughout it's years including George W. Bush Junior and Senior who both drank here together and also John F. Kennedy. Ryan's was bought by F.X.BUCKLEY Restaurants in 2006 and since then has been serving fabulous FXB quality food, not only do we serve our famous steaks but a full Gastro Bar menu which recommends the best beer for each dish.
