OK first things first Temple Bar is great, very lively nice friendly atmosphere but when you've heard the umpteenth rendition of The Wild Rover or Whiskey in the Jar it's time for a bit of peace and quiet. Which is what we found in The...More

As my wife and I already had our pint (or 2 or 3) at the usual Temple Bar spots, we were searching for another option where we could relax, have a good whiskey, and chat about our adventures thus far on our trip. This spot...More

We chose to stay in Temple Bar for the nightlife but found it resembled Bourbon Street in New Orleans just a bit too much. The Palace was the perfect pub for our nightcaps and afternoon primers each day. Willy (owner) treated us like locals, as...More

Probably the one place near the Temple Bar area that was amazing. The whiskey bar upstairs is small and the bartender is super knowledgeable and whiskey. There's also a traditional band playing there on certain nights.

This felt like where locals hang out. The bartender suggested a couple of Irish Whiskeys that were terrific. Would have loved to spend more time here.

An authentic oldie bar, located in Temple bar area. The exterior is outstanding beautiful and also the interior is. I love the atmosphere of the second floor "whiskey palace".

It was over 40 years since I had been here and I dragged my family in for a pint on a recent visit to Dublin. Still a great pub.
