Spent 8 days in Dublin and had a drink here almost every night. Lovely atmosphere and the bartenders are very kind.

This is a lovely traditional Irish Pub, excellent selection of drinks and the service is great. Well worth a visit as the pub has been in the same family for we believe over 70 years, very enjoyable experience.
OK first things first Temple Bar is great, very lively nice friendly atmosphere but when you've heard the umpteenth rendition of The Wild Rover or Whiskey in the Jar it's time for a bit of peace and quiet. Which is what we found in The...More
As my wife and I already had our pint (or 2 or 3) at the usual Temple Bar spots, we were searching for another option where we could relax, have a good whiskey, and chat about our adventures thus far on our trip. This spot...More
We chose to stay in Temple Bar for the nightlife but found it resembled Bourbon Street in New Orleans just a bit too much. The Palace was the perfect pub for our nightcaps and afternoon primers each day. Willy (owner) treated us like locals, as...More
We visited this pub the day of hurricane Ophelia, when most of the country was shut down. This could explain a couple of oddities we noted. The bar itself is quite nice inside, full of history and charm. A patron's small dog happily roved freely...More

Don’t understand how a building so small can be called a ‘palace’! Clearly a very old building and retains much of the original wood panelling and structures. Even has stained glass in the sky light in the back room. This really is a building of...More
Probably the one place near the Temple Bar area that was amazing. The whiskey bar upstairs is small and the bartender is super knowledgeable and whiskey. There's also a traditional band playing there on certain nights.
This felt like where locals hang out. The bartender suggested a couple of Irish Whiskeys that were terrific. Would have loved to spend more time here.
