Had heard great things about this restaurant and to a large degree I was not disappointed. That said, I couldn't helping feeling that the quality of the food suffered a little because of the effects of the annual Christmas melee. Forgivable maybe, but at €48 per head for a set menu, I don't think so. Also, the wine list was... More

Met here for lunch with a friend during the week and we have both agreed that we would never return. The food was extremely disappointing and the service left a lot to be desired. Starters were unremarkable but edible. Not so with my Hake which was rubbery and totally tasteless. The chickpeas it was served upon were straight out of... More

Had a very nice 'early bird' meal here. Quality of food and service were excellent. Each of the courses were really well presented and enjoyed strarter and main and we shared a pudding. Would highly recommend this.

Bitterly disappointed with my experience at the green Hen. My partner and I asked for a table one saturday afternoon. They said "you can have it but you'll have it until a certain time". We said fine, the time seemed reasonable. The lunch went fine until we finished our main course: The waiter asked us if we wanted dessert..and we... More

We went with the family for a meal in town and we were spoiled by the team. We had oysters and terrine as a starter and it was very tasty. The terrine was the same my grandmother used to do when I was a kid in France.. Then we had chicken, duck and trout and the portions were nice and... More

This restaurant had been recommended to me many times so we decided to finally try it. It's bigger than I had originally thought which was nice. The staff were very welcoming and attentive- food was served quickly which was great. We had soup and charcuterie to start which was hearty and filling- steak and surf and turf for dinner. Both... We tried the three course option and enjoyed all three. Cream of mushroom soup was probably the highlight, but all the food was very good. Timing for the meal was spot on too, no rushed courses. The staff was very polite and professional.

I have heard so much good about this restaurant, that it is one of the top places to go for nice dinner. And all I can do is ask, Why? It was my visitors last night in Dublin, so I took them here. We were lucky to get the table for 3 without reservation during the week, place was packed.... More

Having had a fabulous office night here in July we booked our Christmas dinner here. It was awful food all round. Salmon tartar -was coleslaw with salmon around the edges. Duck was served freezing cold and well done and very bad. In July they had fantastic truffle fries. This time fries were McDonald's variety. Cheese board had no blue and... More
