We had been to the Guinness Storehouse with all its history but today the drink is International rather than Irish. So we wanted something Irish and the Boxty ticked that box. To show how Irish it is there is no Guineas but plenty of Irish Stout and Ale. I tried the 3 ale tasting platter at €6.50. We got in... More

Came here originally about 9yrs ago and had an amazing dinner! Back with my young family this time and still very good. I had the chicken boxty which was great and my husband had a steak. Kids had sausages and mash which they devoured! Def worth a visit but can get busy so wise to make a reservation.

We went to the Boxty because we had buy one get one from the hop on hop off. When we mentioned the coupon to our server, as we were seated, she became super rude. While the food was pretty good (we each had a poached egg boxty, one with salmon, one with spinach and I had a beer) our server... More

Very helpful service, amazing meal (all three of us LOVED our choices) and the Boxty fries were perfect! My gf said the lamb stew was the best meal she'd ever had and reignited her love for meat. Reasonable prices, lovely atmosphere and definitely worth a visit.

Great atmosphere, great food, great wine, great service. 0ur group of 10 throroughly enjoyed dinner here on the evening of St Patrick's Day. And for what we had it was also a reasonable price. We recommend booking as it is busy (unsurprisingly)!

The Boxty House was terrific. I am a celiac and was thrilled to hear that I could eat their Irish Crepes and that they even had a Gluten Free Irish beer. Both were terrific. Service was a bit slow and eating in the basement was a disappointment. But I would return for the wonderful food.

We were originally heading to another restaurant in Temple Bar, but as we passed by my boyfriend recognised The Boxty as something famous online so we just went in. It's around 7pm and we were lucky enough to take the second last table available, though a prior booking would definitely be a must to avoid disappointment. Its fame does attract... More

We had a lovely dinner and a unique, delicious meal at Boxty this past week. Our server was very friendly and chatted about the Boxty history. Lovely visit.

Food was really good. I went back for some traditional cornbeef and cabbage during my stay in dublin!
