I had passed here many times and decided to give it a go on a bank holiday Monday. The restaurant was quite busy in the early evening. The staff were fairly friendly but the service was a little slow at times. The food was average Indian food, as you would find in an average neighbourhood take-away. There was nothing outstanding or memorable in the starters or main courses. The vegetarian platter starter was quite bland and seemed very greasy, like it had been deep-fried. The bill was expensive for one shared starter and two mains with soft drinks. For this money I would expect better. I don't expect to visit again.

Popped in during a work trip for a quick meal. It was quiet in the restaurant so was sorted straight away for a drink and complementary poppadum and chutneys (the onion one was a bit different and slightly bitter - interesting!) My main of vegetable Madras, mushroom rice and cheese naan were all well cooked and tasty. The Madras had some real punch to it which for me was a winner. They don’t get 5 stars because of the price - but it’s the same everywhere in Dublin centre so maybe a bit harsh. Would definitely eat here again 👍

Highly recommend this lovely little restaurant. We went for an early dinner pre-theatre and we were delighted with the speed of service. Onion Bhaji for starters was delicious and Biryani main course was so flavoursome. Staff were lovely and very attentive despite full capacity. We will certainly be back.

I've been coming here for years but not so much since I moved down the country in 2016. It's changed it's name few times but the same fellas seem to run it. I went in last night with my 2 friends and a 12 year old kid. The service is excellent but the food is really 10/10 and I've spent a year of my life in South Asia. The curries are made with real passion and simple things like the naan and pilau rice are always done to perfection. I would highly recommend the balti. They also have a proper bar including draught Heineken! (Not just bottles of cobra like most other Indians in Ireland). The waiters are super friendly, will advise you selflessly on your meal and are always up for a chat at the table or if you go out for a smoke. Will definitely return for many years to come. Great job fellas!

Had a curry here during our visit to Dublin. Can honestly say it’s the worst I’ve ever had. We ordered a Madras and it was too hot to eat, hubby normally has vindaloo and he had a sweat in eating this. Informed the waiter who brought me a bowl of lumpy yoghurt to cool it down. To top it off I was up in the night vomiting. Would advise to avoid eating here

Lamb Biryani There was one dish with fried rice and peas and a tiny bit of lamb (with a bone in) and another dish with a small amount of sause which was slightly like biryani save. Not half enough to covet the rice and peas. This meal was not what I would cal Indian restaurant food. It is not even take away quality. It is the worst biryani I ever had. Don't go there

This restaurant is in dire need of a change! The food is absolutely dreadful, with all the dishes tasting the same. There is nothing original about it. Perhaps someone should step in and transform it into something like the Pickle Restaurant on Camden Street. The only positive aspect of this restaurant is its fantastic location and it stays open very late. To the owner: do yourself a favor and emulate Pickle Restaurant; you will undoubtedly make a fortune.

We went for a dinner here yesterday and ordered vegetable fritters platter, lamb biryani, prawn curry, stuffed paratha. Fritters were dripping in oil, you could taste oil in your mouth. Lamb biryani had lots of meat less rice in it, prawns were better, stuffed paratha was again bad didn't have any salt in it, only potatoes. If ou are Indian and want good Indian food, don't go here.

Passing and came across this little gem. From the moment we enter to the staff all excellent. Started with Meat platter, Chicken Tandoori and Chicken Karahi if you like Indian you will love this restaurant.

Good location. The restaurant needs to be redecorated as it looks a bit old. The appetisers were lovely but the rest of the food were average. The pilau rice was actually basmati. The price for 4 people was 135eur for 1 vegetable platter, 3 mains and 1 child main. We had 1 drink each. I felt totally robbed. For the food quality and service, it was not a good experience. They even make you pay for the rice! Definitely won't come back. A total rip-off compared to other Indian restaurants and way better service/food such as Pickle.

The food was delicious with the right amount of spice and flavor. Service was very good as well. We got seated just a few minutes before a bus load of people filled the upstairs. We were downstairs & were afraid we’d be forgotten, but that was definitely not the case. Would definitely go here again!

This is very much run if the mill Indian restaurant. There was nothing wrong with our meals - in fact they very decent. However , the decor & ambiance is distinctly bland. Of more concern, there was zero Covid restrictions in place ie no check on certs, photo ID, name / phone recording & many of the tables close together (with no perspect barriers). Not sure on the legality but when all of the other bars / restaurants are making such a big effort to protect staff / customers (& absorbing a cost) I won’t be patronizing this place again

I opted for Prawn Dhansak with onion rice and that’s a thing I rarely see on an Indian menu. It was fine but lacked the flavour of cloves, cardamom which would have brought it to another level. The sauce is meant to be tangy sweet and slightly spicy but it was too hot for my taste buds. The sauce was thickened by Dahl or lentils, all a bit heavy. I fished out my prawns and left half of it. Bit pricey for lunch 32 euro incl tip and not really what I wanted. But my fault as I could have tried the cheaper option

7pm Thursday evening. No booking walk in . Only about 5 customers. Meat samosa starter. Arrived with 2 pieces which were very greasy and very little lamb content and a small amount of salad that appeared ‘ old”. Chicken Jalfrezi mains with rice and garlic/chilli Nan bread . Very bland although chicken was well cooked . Very little hot spice going on. Nan bread was almost tasteless . €8 for a glass of red wine and €7.50 for cobra beer . Won’t be back in a hurry . Staff ok . Place needs a coat of paint !
