This is an excellent place to go to for a good Guinness or other beer. It is also a great place to meet people from Ireland and to talk to them.

Went here for lunch. The carvery was OK and value for money. Shame about the clientele. This is a locals bar who want to watch Sky SPORT. if you looking for a quality hotel bar for relaxing lunch then go elsewhere. Even the bar staff were a disinterested bunch who found it a struggle to serve. Its a shame as... More

We ordered drinks first a Coke and Diet Coke they were flat as a pancake we asked for them to be changed we got new ones the same thing flat as a pancake I don't think the bar man was happy about us sending them back again but for €2.90 a drink I am not paying for something that's flat... More

The pub is part of the Carnegie Court Hotel. Very nice pub for a pint. The bathrooms were lovely and clean which considering the state of some of the public bathrooms have been in was a bonus. Plenty of seating in the actual bar and not too loud so we were able to have a conversation

My first day in Ireland traveling solo as I am working on a PhD...didn't want to be sitting all by myself for dinner surrounded by a bunch of tourists. Ran up against a local who suggested this place. Friendly bartender and waitress and a couple helpful local patrons made this a warm experience. Enjoyed the requisite Guinness and a bowl... More

The food here was nice. I wouldn't say amazing but it was acceptable. It's nicely decorated and comfortable and toilets were fine. The problem is the aggressive fair haired podgy barman who made us move seats twice to accommodate reservations 5 hours from when we sat in them. His attitude was deplorable.
